I second "Choices for Change" idea by SLSALKIL.
It includes everything - short term goals, long term goals, daily successes and calls for support, It sounds very positive and a name that will continue to attract new members.

short term goals are nice. then we can keep updating the group name to accommodate the differing short term goals. right now, I'm focused on slimming down for Spring, when my family and I take a lot of trips to exotic beaches. I want to look nice in that bikini!

I have no control over the scale. I can take action that should result in a weight loss, but sometimes it takes longer than I expect. But I can control things like how much water I drink, how many steps I take, what workouts I do or what unhealthy foods I avoid eating.
I like to call them resolutions because I resolve to do things....it works for me

I agree with obie we need (At least I need) short term goals. I was thinking something about summer but then I 'm not sure if that is short enough.
I also like gretchen's idea very much and also the idea of focusing on other things besides weight

I like new year, new you or maybe Choices for Change to focus on the changes we make that leads to the change we want rather than just weight.

I have participated in teams where everyone sets some goals or resolutions for the month and stay focused on them. We could even put them in our signatures so they would be easy to refer to.

what about a Short Term Goals team?
I did a search and couldn't find one. We all need to set short term goals to keep us on track to reach the ultimate goal.

I like the ones that focus on the new year---losing weight in 2013 or new year, new me
they seem to suggest continued resolution to stay on the path

Soooo....
The holidays are almost over!
I want to keep us going on our healthy lifestyle journies- some of us are still needing to get to that goal- and even if we are at our goal- maintenence is another goal that needs to be worked on.
So: What should we change our team name to?
We can change it to : 1. Lose weight after the Holidays 2. Losing weight in 2013 3. Lose weight before summer 4 New year, New me!
What do you think- We are open to fresh ideas! Lisa
