Just getting the hang of carb cycling now. With diabetes I think it will help trick my body into letting some fat go a lot more easily!

Hi are you still cycling your carbs? I am just starting up again after having bronchitis for 3 months, and man am I noticing a change in my body already in just this first week of cycling!! I am also taking raspberry ketone's and I really am liking the change I am seeing emoticon emoticon

Have any of you tried Chris Powells workout DVD that has 3 levels? I have been doing level one for a week and I really like it so far. I have not been doing much in the way of exercise so level one is fine for me right now. So far I have really liked carb cycling. It seems to be working and isn't to hard to follow. I still use the nutrition and workout trackers here on sparks. emoticon

Well, in the choose to lose book, it's not really the amounts as it is portion size and focus so the low carb days is virtually no carbs except for what you get in vegetables and foods approved to eat on those low carb days. High carb days you can have a healthy carb at all five meals (along with protein of course) but in general he wants you around 1500 calories for the day on high carb day and 1200 on low carb days although you can just adjust calories but not the difference between days. He wants a difference.

I am wondering how many carbs I should eat on low days and high days. My goal is to decrease my body fat and I think this plan will work.

I was wondering if maybe we could have a topic set up for recipes for low carb and high carb days. I did see where Chris said he's busy getting ready to publish a recipe book specifically for this diet, yay! It sounds like it won't be out for several months though. Anyhoo, just an idea. =)

Yes I just started the team. Its a newbie emoticon I had to start this team because there was not a Chris Powell team until I made this one and I was looking for other people such as myself who wanted to follow Chris Powells Plan and not do it alone...so here it is...and if you have any good ideas please let me know or if you want to start a new thread of any kind please do so...but please make sure its carb or exercise related. emoticon

Sorry I don't do weigh in's as I don't believe in the scale sorry...the scale and me are not on friendly terms lol...you see the scale cannot tell you how much body fat you have or how much muscle you have ...I have not weighed myself in a long time...what I do to see how much I have lost is measure and the fit of my cloths...those are a better indication on my weight loss as I lift heavy weights and I am gaining muscle as I lose body fat emoticon emoticon

ps...if you would like though and you like to weigh in you could make a post...other people might like it...I would post my measurements but I can't do weigh ins. emoticon

I just joined the group...is there a weigh in weekly thread? This is my second week doing the program and I think it could be encouraging to others if they could see how much weight others are losing on the program. I know it does me. emoticon

Also is there a daily chat thread for the members just to chat about their day?
