it was my first trip to Napa (girl weekend away woohoo) had a blast. drinking lots of water today and going to try to stay away from sodium as much as I can.

All the so called "secrets of success"will not work ... unless you do.

KNUCKLES, it'll probably go down at least some after a few days. I know if I spent the weekend going to restaurants and drinking alcohol (especially this), the scale always goes up on Monday, but works it's way back down after a few days. I'm jealous though, I love Napa. My aunt and uncle used to live in Santa Rosa and I used to live down in the Central Valley, so I always got to drive through there on the way to visit them. So pretty :)

I'm back from a four day weekend in Napa. and I wasn't happy with the number on the scale this morning. not at all. time to get my butt in gear.

I've had some bumps (in the form of very stubborn plateaus), but overall the moderation thing has been working for me since I joined SP.

Last week my DH set a goal for himself to lose 10 lbs by 4/1 and I asked if he minded me joining in that goal and working on it together. It's a little bit of a stretch goal for me, but I am ready for the challenge and it's nice to be sharing the effort. We've already helped each other out, mostly in the area of portion control.

I'll weigh this afternoon at my kids school.
we'll see if I continued the down trend or what.
I feel good.

I also feel good about school. I have been struugling with the computer, but things are getting easier.

Good work BIGGERMOMMA! And, better late than never! I always was able to keep weight off when I was in college, and when I moved to a big city with no car, all that walking made it unnecessary to go to the gym!

How's this for moderation.
I joined this team....a while ago....I am now posting.
O.K. I'm slow!
I started school last week. walking alot with a heavy backpack.
I have dropped 5 lbs since 12-23.
lets see if it keeps up.

We have an appointment today to see the wellness coach at the fitness center. She'll help us customize our fitness routines to do us the most good. I know Bob is going to do his own thing regardless but I'm interested in hearing her suggestions.

Just got back from the fitness center. Got in a good workout and hubby spent 45 minutes in the pool, so he got a good workout too.

That's awesome Yo! I gain 9 lbs. over the holidays. Of course I wasn't exercing either, which probably would have helped a lot... oh well. It's a New Year.

Well after all the complete crap and junk I ate for the past 12 days, I gained a total of a half pound.

Goes to show, there is room for indulgences, and is making me re-evaluate what my plan is for 2013. I think I'll still track and keep an eye on things during the week, and just do whatever I want on weekends, which were always a struggle and would stress me out.

I'm on the last day of my week long vacation visiting BFs family. I have been doing horribly and I'm a bit scared to weigh in when I get back :). I will say, eating whatever I want in large quantities has been kind of fun lol! But my body is not happy so I'll be glad to get back to my old routine.

I didn't do too shabby over X-mas. Politely declined bringing leftover desserts home, hubby and I went light on candy as stocking stuffers, skipped some of the many desserts at holiday gatherings...overall, did okay.

Now comes the New Year's celebrations, with a fresh round of tempting treats everywhere I turn. It isn't any easier to pass them up this week than last week, each time is a battle. I don't remember it being this hard last year. Moderation is a good goal and right now it is a challenge each day.
