Happy New Year! Well, actually I decided to start my New "year" or New Cycle with the end of the Mayan one. The Mayans didn't intend it to be the end of the world as we know it, just a start of a new cycle.
Seemed much more momentous to me than the yearly thing, which after all I've been around for for 59 times.
Anyhow, I spent the early hours of today trying out various exercises and I have a LOT of work to do on pull-ups or chin-ups. A lot more body-stability before I even attempt that again! On the other paw, I can indeed touch my toes, no challenge there.
I cooked a lobster/shiitake/cheese omelet using pastured eggs (okay, it was the mothers who were pastured) for breakfast. Made some pastured beef-sausage sliders for ingestion later this week. (Without the bread, of course.) Lunch will feature bok choy and cabbage. I'm going to try to clean house a bit, but we will see how far I get on that.
I had thought about going out for sashimi (with one hand roll thrown in) but I think this is the year to start saving money. I also thought about going to the movies, but the movie I really want to see right now seems no longer to be playing in the area (Argo.)
Anyhow, happy new year.
**** PS, I went to bed early last night. The bladder got me up at 12:25, and I got to watch an awesome display of shooting stars (fireworks) from my bathroom window, over at a neighbor's house. I don't know why they sent these things off late, but hey.

Yep, there I am, swimming through the desert sands. Might just be a mirage, after all. But this is life, and we learn best about it if we explore it, and take our chances. A life unexplored, after all, is one of the saddest things out there.
