I enjoy the TBS routines. The pace and tempo is just right for me. I have knee problems, and I like the head-to-toe workouts. I feel energized after each routine, to include warm up and cool down segments. Kudos Coach Nicole and her team!

Amazing how much easier the Sizzle Sculpt is when I use 5lb weights for the lateral raises as opposed to 10. Still doing the workouts, Coach Nicole, and looking forward to seeing this year's new DVD!

I thought, after completing 28 day bootcamp, that I was fairly fit. Tbs challenges my thigh muscles within minutes! Had to take a week off because of tummy bug, followed by very nasty throat. Hope to be back to it this week. Plan to watch things like boxer shuffle in slow motion to learn the steps etc.

TBS arrived Friday. Saturday was a lazy day, Sunday I planned to go up the mountain after church, but got waylaid by an unexpected dinner invitation, so I contained my soul in patience and did the first workout today. Fairly hard work for me, particularly as it was all new, but I survived and enjoyed it. My plan is to do a single workout at a time, intersperses with jogging or walking on the mountain if I'm in town. That's realistic. I can fit that into my normal life and enjoy it. (I overexercised during and after the last week of 28 day bootcamp, and have learned from my mistake!). Thank you, Coach Nicole, for another fun DVD. I thought you were a slavedriver at first, when I couldn't even get through the 6 minute warmup of 28 day bootcamp (!!!), but now I find you so encouraging that I much prefer your DVDs to everyone else's!

TBS DVD is my main workout DVD in my fitness goals this month. I walk and attend Curves Circuit training too. TBS routines are not stressful on my knees and arm joints and I love the routines with the use of dumbbells. A winner!

I have completed the first week and now I am ready to begin the second. Each time through I gain more. I agree with the previous post. Although I don't love certain types of exercise this video does offer enough variety to remain interesting. Having the different levels is helpful and also motivating.

I feel the same way you do, MsRozzie. The pace is perfect, the variation in exercises keeps me from getting bored, and although my heart rate does go up and I feel the burn, I do not emerge from these workouts exhausted and dripping with sweat. I bloody hate exercising and working out, and am a bit on the lazy side. If a workout is too intense or boring, I will not do it.
So, thank you, Coach Nicole.
Coach Nicole rocks for replying to our questions in this thread, by the way. Who else does that? So awesome.

I have just completed the third workout. I will admit that I really find strength training a challenge. I probably need to do more of it, but currently do not like it a bit. However, I was once the same with cardio and now I love it. I am working to make my form better. I know it is extremely poor. I often have no idea where my body is in space.

I have gotten familiar with the routines of TBS. I agree the Body Weight Burn is a challenge, but it has helped my back tremendously. I love Sizzle-Sculpt Circuit routine with dumbbells. The Barre routine is good for my balance. Great Job Coach Nicole and her team!

Today was my first "real workout" in a long time. I first played the DVD exercises to get an idea of how to perform them. The format was a little confusing at first, but once understood works well with the intention of users at various levels. I have committed myself to doing the first week if possible. The Body Weight Burn was challenging. I definitely am feeling the burn.

I happened upon an older blog post from Coach Nicole here:
I was dismayed but not surprised by the negative backlash, especially about the appearance of Coach Nicole, Lindsay, and Jewel. Someone complained that Coach Nicole did not look like the "ideal," and that she would not sell DVDs because of it. Others were far more rude in their name-calling, but it was great to see that Coach Nicole understood that that was only people's own insecurity being projected onto her. It's something I need to remind myself of at work, when people call me fat, or big.
For me, part of the appeal of Coach Nicole's SparkPeople DVDs is that she, Jewel, and Lindsay are real women with bodies just like mine. Working out with instructors who are toned and fit to the extreme is fine. But for me those superfit experts represent impossible standards and ideals. We in the real world don't have 8 hours a day to devote to exercise and modeling like they do, so we will never look like them. A healthy body is the ideal, not the one with the biggest biceps and flattest abs. If anything, DVDs with such experts discourage me from exercising: "I'll never be as fit as them, why bother?"
I love Total Body Sculpting BECAUSE the ladies have real and healthy bodies. Because they are real, everyday people, and not models, just like me. Coach Nicole eats cake on her birthday just like I do, and not bodybuilding food all the time. They aren't above me--they are with me. And as for their personal appearance, they are all beautiful. I want to work out with them for these reasons, and that is why I bought Total Body Sculpting. (And later, 28 Day Bootcamp.)
To those insecure people, the SparkPeople ladies are not "the ideal." But for me, they are, and that's exactly why I'm going to keep using the DVDs. So please keep putting them out, Coach Nicole, and keep right on dismissing the negativity. You are helping lots of people, and that is nothing but good.

I just bought my copy today and popped it in while hubby walked on treadmill. I only did the warm up, one segment and the cool down but I really enjoyed it. I did the segment with the walk out planks at the end. Wow! that was tough but I got through it and an excited to do more! Thanks

I've been doing the workouts on this DVD for one week so far, the first of many, I imagine. Thumbs up.
I like that there are different intensity levels as demonstrated by Lindsay and Jewel. I also like the calendar format, breaking down the workouts into beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I dig the extra challenges, too--they help my balance. Some users are saying they did the entire DVD (about 79 minutes or so?) in one sitting--kudos to you guys! I could never do that!
I also enjoy Coach Nicole's calm and friendly method of instruction. Even the counting down during the exercises helps. I do like the timer, too. My plank form really stinks, and I hope to improve that.
You know what else is really helpful to me? That the ladies exercise in time with the music. This makes exercising so much easier for me. Some of my other workouts don't do this, and it messes me up.
Some of the moves are so simple, they don't feel like exercise, which is good for me! It's the strenuous exercises that tire me out and make me want to stop.
I shall be happy to post a positive review on Amazon if this helps Sparkpeople.

Just bought the Total Body Sculpting DVD yesterday ( as well as the 28 Day Bootcamp DVD) at Target store in Cape Girardeau, MO. They didn't have very many left out on the shelf.
I started slowly today with the TBS DVD and did the warm up, the Barre Body Blast and finished with the Cool Down. I found I am not very coordinated! But I will keep at it and try to get the moves down. For this morning I am also adding some treadmill time....the DVD kinda just warmed me up and made me want to move so I thought I would get a mile or so in while I am feeling it!!!
Coach Nicole, I really do appreciate your style of coaching on the DVD. Nothing pushy, nothing harsh...just simple straight forward directions from a pretty lady with a sweet smile! It will take me a while to get good at this but you make me not want to give up even though I am stiff and have achey joints!!

I enjoy Total Body Sculpting workouts. The movements are helping my balance and back tension. The pace and music are quite a pleasure.

I'm pleased with the workouts.. I use some muscle I have not used in a while.. and it gets my heart rate up..

The exercises on Total Body Sculpting, helps improve my balance and I like the pace of them. They are a challenge! The choreography and the use of weights are a plus also.

@JVANAM- I'm so glad you found it!! Yes unfortunately, not every store is getting it on the shelves even though it should be there by now. But they should all have it. Glad your experience turned into a good one. Thanks for the persistence. I hope you enjoy it.

Not expecting any kind of reply, just an FYI for you and SP-HQ, you wrote me a sweet, as in charming - not CARB, answer.
Earlier today I went into a nearby Target, without phoning first. Told the sports associate BRIEFLY about my situation. She was SO apologetic, checked the shelves (nothing).
Called her supervisor, she (the super.) was hidden way & checked the storage room.
Found the bin and brought out to me the first DVD out of the box.
One more TBS sold.
One more Target offering TBS.

I have reviewed the entire "Total BodySculpting" DVD and left my comments at Amazon. I have also done all the workouts with Coach Nicole, Jewel and Lindsey. The DVD is a new change for my fitness routine and already I can feel how the changes were much needed. Excellent DVD.

My workout today was the 4 mins: Warm Up; 20 mins: Barre Body Workout and 4 mins: Cool Down. I was a bit uncoordinated with some of the arm and leg motions, but in time will improve. I find that I start to perspire and breath much heavier while doing these routines and for a long time after my workout has finished. I liked this segment for the balancing and lower body exercises. My back and thighs got a heck of a workout today. I also like the use of a weight too.
I have reviewed all the segments and bonus workout on 'Total Body Sculpting' DVD and left my comments on Amazon.

Today is my rest day. Yesterday I also completed the Barre Body. I took ballet as a little kid, brought back a few memories. Enjoyed this one very much. The pace and fluid movement was nice and controled. I too do not so jumping jacks. Do to injury, I limit or do not use weights, particularly on the left side of the body. Although, it is just as effective without weights. Like the last dvd, 28-day bootcamp, I like that all the moves can be modified to fit ones needs. Another perfect addition to my walking workout.
Once I complete the entire dvd, I will definately leave my feedback on amazon.

I love combining the 28 Day Bootcamp 12 Minute cardio blast with either the TOTAL BODY SCULPTING Barre Body or the Sizzle Scuplt Workout. And I've been using 5 lb dumbbells...talk about a challenge....Yikes. By the time I'm halfway thru the session my heart is pumping.
I don't do jumping jacks because my joints can't handle impact but next time I would love to see Jewel (beginner level) doing a modified jumping jack. I step to the side and wave my arms jumping jack style.
and as for pushups in the Bodyweight Burn...I get on my knees and do my pushup against the sofa (beginner style)...not as challenging as Nicole or Lindsay but a little better than Jewel's beginner level.

My second workout from the Total Body Sculpting DVD was Barre Body Blast. I liked the pace of this segment and could keep up with the entire session. I felt completely energized when the workout was completed. I truly like this DVD and much need changes to my fitness routine.

Although the verdict is still out, I think this dvd is a WINNER!!
Today was my first opportunity to workout to the dvd and I did the Bodyweight Burn ... yes it was a burn. The moves were basic and simple and as always with Coach Nicole, challenging. I do have a question, but will ask it on the other thread.
Looking forward to the other workouts ...

I reviewed the new Total Body Sculpting DVD and liked the pace and exercise routines for a total body workout and strength training starting with the warm up, three 20 minutes segments, and a cool down session. Coach Nicole's instructions are very clear and helpful. I followed the Bodyweight Burn session for the first try, I could follow it quite easily. I did not do to well with the planks, but hope to improve in time. Having Jewel and Lindsay to demonstrate beginners and advanced movements were excellent. You girls looked great too! This DVD makes you feel like you are in the same room exercising along with Coach Nicole and her assistants. Kodos Coach Nicole!!
