I have wheat flour and regular flour. I should do something with it, haha!

They are fun to make, I just think this bag of flour isn't as fresh and its annoying to keep failing!

That bags nearly gone... might go to the Indian food shop and get actual chappatti flour this time instead.

I have a whole bunch of curry recipes saved I think, but no dahl as its often "what-vegetable-looks-sad" or "something-not-keen-on" from delivery box that needs used (who knew rocket cooks up like spinach!) and then I vary the spices and add onions and lentils!

Its not a hard dish at all, very forgiving.

Chappatti are a pain sometimes, I've lost my knack for them, I think though its the flours fault... was fine at it, then I cant get them to puff up any more! I think the flour isn't so stretchy.

I use 100g wholemeal flour to make 4 chappatti, enough warm water to make a soft dough, add either nigella seeds or mustard seeds, sometimes fennel, knead, let it rest for a while, re-knead and divide into balls, roll fairly thin then cook on cast iron griddle, one side only, then puff using tongs in open gas flame. The non-griddled side should puff out!

I'd check out Pookie's recipes to see if she has it. My boyfriend does all his stuff from memory, so no recipe to be found. However, Spark tends to have some really good stuff if you do a search for it.

Both sound amazing! Where would I find a recipe to see if I want to try it out?

Mmmmm, Indian food. My boyfriend is Indian so he makes some of the BEST stuff. Dahl is a vegetarian dish of stewed, spicy lentils and chappati is an Indian bread. Very delicious.

home made vegetable curry, with dahl and chappati... all made at home with none of the tonnes of fat used so often in indian cooking from take-aways!

I have tons. But realize that I've gotten out of doing them much lately. But check out my recipes page. Lots there and most of them are really good. I've even had a couple of them featured on Spark. Lucky!
