Oh, I cut out baking last year. Didn't do ANY this year because my mom does enough to feed the entire world. It was a good decision on my part. I had too much while I was at home, but came home to a healthy house. No sweets or treats.

But work is another issue...

My Christmas has been fine. I realized I am maintaining around 170ish. I hope to get back down to 160 by April 1st, my birthday.

Gah - I am missing these threads! How the heck to I get an email for everything that anyone posts in this group???

Sorry guys! How did the holidays go? I tracked my food for the first 4 days of vacation and then gave up. Better than nothing, but I'm back from Christmas now and really trying to lose this water weight before NYE!

Ric and I have two full pies at the house. I took two bites of one, and managed to walk away after that. I expect we'll pick at them for a while instead of gorging completely.

Good job on having a plan!

That's great, John!

I only took one plate but did eat three pieces of pie yesterday. Oop! My boyfriend and I took a walk after the meal. It was super helpful to have that plan to do it in place before we went down there for the day.

I stay away from the food tables....I carry a pretty cup of water, no one knows it's just water.....I try and wait till everyone has gotten their food, and I always agree when some one says have your tried this or that....and I have learned to say no thanks and smile and not get in to a conversation on why I'm not eating more or trying one of everything....

also I look over all the foods, especially the desserts, then I take a few bites of my 4 top favorites, anything that is not fantastic I don't eat, I try to never leave my plate empty, meaning not cleaning it up like a good girl....
also I don't starve myself all day to try and eat more at the celebrations.....

Perfect timing with this post. I'm just now thinking about this same thing, and I have come up with what I hope is a good plan.

I'm calling it the Holiday Triple. I am signing up for three virtual half marathons and I will run them on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. I am hopeful that they will help me stay focused on my training despite the business and stress of the holiday seasons.

So... anyone want to run any (or all) of these with me?
