I suppose the book really is geared for American cooking.....

I like the Hungry girl recipes too, but just watch the sodium in them too....

I have the book. If there is something specific in it that you know you want to try or specific ingredients, I could type it all out for you. emoticon

yes, the first link has some pretty easy things, but as I said I wouldn't follow them exact, one recipe I liked called for 3 teaspoons of salt! ack!

I looked at the SP recipes online, but not often found much to want to try, and I have to take lots of time to adapt them usually into measurements I can work with.
I do really want to try their stuffed bean burgers though.

I have found that I really like the Sparkpeople Cookbook and cannot wait for their second one! I have wanted to try recipes in magazines but they tend to require buying alot of new spices and foods. I don't want to buy a bunch of food for only recipe. That is why I like the Sparkpeople Cookbook. Many of the spices were used in several recipes! emoticon

Last couple of days I have been using time constructively, I am very ill and the 4 day weekend off work has been an absolute wash out, such a waste of holiday days *sad*

But have been searching for new recipes, both adapting from a new book I bought, and searching a new website I found and adapting those recipes (some had just insane amounts of salt added!).

Anybody got some website they could suggest for browsing?

This was a recent series on UK TV, Si and Dave have been favourites on TV for a few years now and this series with them both losing a good lot of weight was really interesting. I made the leek lasagne this evening, and 4 days next week are vegetarian versions (to suit my fiancÚ) of recipes from the series/book.
