day 11....monday is weight training day ....I used the stretchy bands some and 10 pound weights

rode the bike for 60 minutes.....planning some walking later at the mall

Great work!

Tonight I went to the gym. I had a rare night to myself so decided to do some cardio with it. Kinda bored with the gym scene considering I work in one pretty much everyday. Anyhow, got to Day 12! WOOT!!!

I was right on it today.....
I walked for 50 minutes early this morning..
today is thursday so it was strength training and weight lifting day, and I did 3 full sets....so far a good week for me.....

I am on the 100 day challenge team which is similar but focuses on exercise. I am on day 30 of consecutive daily exercise.

I think the 100 feels way too big me me too.

The rain and dark are what get to me, I can handle cold, but when its so dull and dark its horrible.

I do like the idea of 10 day, even weekly 7 day challenges... committing to a week soun ds actually doable.

no I have a step, like they use at the step aerobic class, in fact I have 2 of them.....

I'm going to do another 100 steps with my 5 pound hand weights for a total of 10 pounds....


I think the 10 day thing is a good idea, I always say find what works for you and stick with it....

We should have fun little rewards for every TEN DAY streak. I'm all about smaller goals on the route to 100 :)

Thinking about going to get a lap pass for the pools today so I can swim every day if I want to. I think it would be good for me.

And yes - I usually can't get out of bed in the morning when it's dark and cold. Change in seasons is especially hard for me.

a good start to Monday

60 minutes on the treadmill
12 minutes weight training
100 step-ups with 10 pound weights....this was way harder than I thought....

Do either of you struggle with SAD? I know I do and depression.. they are kinda the same thing. Today I walked to campus so I will be on Day 9, I think. I didn't want to work out but I didn't want to give up my streak either.

day 2 for me....rode the exercise bike 12 miles in 50 minutes....then walked to the school and back in my neighborhood, had to turn back as a large dog was on the loose and it did not look friendly, growling and drooling and charging at me.....one of the neighbors yelled at it but it just stood there growling at me....but it gave me time to turn and go back to my house....the lady on the corner yelled to me to not look back and her DH would chase him off, then call the police...

I plan on doing 100 steps on my stepper

ladies I'm going to join too....I am on face book but don't get on much.....

I exercise most everyday, but strength training seems to be my down fall....so my challenge is to do some form of exercise, treadmill, exercise bike, walking, running, swimming in the summer, marching....and the real challenge is to do weight and strength 2 days a week to start. so for the next 100 days I'll be here ....lets see how well I can do....
I'm picking Monday and Thursdays for the WT and ST....at least 10 minutes twice a week...I can change the day but must have 2 times a week....

today, I walked 30 minutes at the mall, and 60 minutes on the treadmill, I also marched for 10 minutes when I was wanting to eat and it was not dinner time...

and fail, expected to go swimming on Wednesday, tired, and saw kids coming to T or T so stayed in, and yesterday, was even more fail involving a lack of exercise, a large box of Malteasers and a couple cupcakes.

This brings up a great point. I do not expect and would not want any of my clients I train to go hard everyday. It's 10 minutes. That could be a walk around the block!

Sweet! Today I might be glueing a few things together. I already am thinking of skipping a personal workout. I worked last night 'til 10 pm so I didn't get to bed until 11:30ish. This morning I have to be at work by 8:30 am. So that means not much sleep.

I am sitting in on a Silver Sneakers group exercise class so that's movement. Also, I am having lunch w a friend so maybe I will walk there. And, I lead a 5K run/walk tonight. I just want to do my own workout.. besides there is a lifting work out that says I lift today. So, workout vs nap!

I am part of a team that is called 100 Days of a Healthier You. You pick a challenge and try to make a streak of 100 days. I chose working out for at least 10 minutes for 100 days. After I committed, I realized I need some support and opened it up to my real life friends. A few jumped on it and I decided to make it a group on Facebook.
