You guys - I'm SO excited about this team. This week already you've pumped me up and helped me to get myself back on track! I'm feeling good that we're all in relatively the same place - it's HARD when you're not all "unicorns and rainbows" like Mama Dwarf says.

We don't necessarily have to be that all the time, but part of my reason for creating the weekly challenge of checking in with at least 3 team members (either a wall post, or a goodie) is just to keep that incentive moving and to keep all of us reminded that there are others out there just like us!

I'm glad to read I'm not the only person feeling like this.

It felt almost a bit vain? Selfish? to call out on the fact people can only cheer you on when you are succeeding anyway.

But on reflection its a lot of giving without a lot of getting and thats not selfish to expect support back, nor vain to expect people to still like you if you are not their personal motivation... thats THEIR issue, not mine.

I'm glad I could be honest about this, its been grating a while.

I'll cheer and help you with what I can! How do you want your support/help?

For me, it has been really helpful to read other people in the same place I am... emoticon

In the beginning, it was so much easier than I thought it was going to be. I was losing 3-4 pounds a week at first. Here I am 2 1/2 years later, and I can't lose 3-4 pounds a month. I've been at the same weight since March, and I have NO idea what to do about it. Most of the people I started this journey with have disappeared, and a lot of times I feel like I'm on my own. I know there are a handful, I can still count on, but it seems we're all struggling. It's hard to help others, when you're having a hard time too.

I remember in the beginning how easy it was, weight fell off, I never stumbled and my blogs were full of rainbows and unicorns. I remember people saying how it was hard to relate to someone who didn't struggle and I would think, I gotta find something challenging to write about! How silly! I WISH it was that easy nearly 3 years in. I have stumbled, crumbled and fallen it I have never ever given up. And I won't.

We can help each other!! I give great cheer leading!

Wow, what a powerhouse of Spark talent right here in this thread already. I'm so glad to have been invited aboard and to share this team with y'all.

And yep, it's tough to be the "success story" who stumbles and falls just like everyone else.

Guess we're all in the right place.

This sounds a team for me! I have lost 100 pounds and gained about 7 back. Everyone says I will lose it but I am terrified I won't lose it again. I know how to manipulate Sparkpeople and I know I don't burn as many calories as I once did when I worked out. More or less, I do it to relieve stress.

What kind of support/help are you guys looking for?

And this is EXACTLY why I created this team. The long-termers still need a push and support and I have found, personally, that it isn't as easy to get when you aren't "popular" anymore after the big initial exciting loss has happened. I plateaued and then so did almost my entire friends list. Mind you - I also stopped concentrating on losing weight and set a different goal for myself, but it can't ALWAYS be about the scale. I'm back to the scale now, but I also feel like I need even MORE support this time around because I'm trying to break a plateau and the honeymoon of the first loss is so very very over.

Right there with you girl! We can definitely do this.

I'm struggling a lot and I have reached out for help and, well I'm not getting it.

I guess being 323lbs and loosing every week, visible progress shots.... SUPER interesting and motivational for people to want to keep up with.

Nobody I guess wants to hear I gained back 40lbs and I need help with getting my motivation back to re-loose it.

Thats what I hope to get from this team, people who get IT and know its a hard road to continue on especially when you fail to get any rah-rahs because you are no longer that "successful"

I've still lost 140+ lbs and I just want a hand to re-loose 40 again.
