Rachel~
That's awesome that you got 10 miles in! This week is my 7 mile long run, which is the longest run I've done outside. A little nervous, but doing the first 3.5 with my husband (he's doing 12 that day, so I'll head out with him, then head back when 1/2 my milage is up.)

You've got this! I know that you can get back on track this week!

Dawn~ your scrapbooking retreat sounds fun! I used to scrapbook when the boys were babies... Now I have piles of pictures, lol. Need to get back to it someday emoticon

Your work hours sound like they will go along well with your husband's hours. My husband works Saturdays and Sunday's too, so his weekend is Thurs/Fri.

Praying that you have a great week!

(Sorry, I know this check in is late)

This week has been good Bible study and reading wise. I am finishing Purpose Driven Life and getting into Restless. The books are really speaking to me and also coincides with my Good morning Girls Bible study.

Exercise wise...I ran 10 miles last weekend and I guess I've been taking this week off. :-( I know I would feel better even stretching or foam rolling. I've found myself more stressed, leading to not exercise, and the cycle continues. Eating hasn't been great either. I've eaten above my calorie range every day. I'm tracking using Lose It. The good news: I haven't gained. But I don't feel great so gotta get back on track this week.

Looking forward to getting back on track this week.

With God all things are possible

I am starting this challenge like a turtle so I hope that means I will finish! My DQT and workouts went well. I wrote a blog post today so not sure if that counts for last week or this coming week. My goal is to blog on Mondays. I surprised myself and did not over indulge during my scrapbooking retreat. It was great fun to have the time to be with my daughter. I hosted a Super Bowl party and ate more junk than I intended. (I was a Bronco fan so my stress relief was eating ~ especially the chocolate covered strawberries that we made to look like footballs.) I understand that there are times where I choose to indulge. My work hours are changing (I'll be working every weekend. Sat.,Sun., and Mon. 3 to 11. My choice. Since my husband is a pastor and works Sat. & Sun. this works for me too.) I'm trying to adapt my routine at home. I'm a creature of habit, so I hope to set up good time frames.

Last week was entirely too hectic for myself and my family. I don't want another week like that! As a result, everything else suffered. I didn't get enough sleep, not enough water, not enough exercise, and didn't do so hot with tracking my food. I tracked some, using SparkPeople. I don't think I even got my blog posted. Although it was a rough week, it wasn't a complete bust. I did get some workouts in, and I made healthy food choices 80% of the time.

This week is proving to be getting off to a much better start.

Week 2 went well for me. I weighed in and was 2.5 pounds down. I've been tracking on MFP faithfully and trying to watch my macros a little closer. I'm trying to have more protein in my diet, since it will keep me full longer, and also it's great for muscle! I'm doing well with my 1/2 marathon training. This past week my long run was 5 miles. It bumps up to 6 miles this week! My husband and I started a run group through church and it was a big success! We had about 25 people show up to our first group yesterday, which was great since the snow was coming down pretty good the whole time! We had all different levels of runners. We had the beginners do walk/jog/walk program and they did a mile. The intermediate ran 2 miles, and advanced did 3. We'll add to it as time goes on, and the goal is for everyone to run a local 5K together this summer. (Everyone will be at their own pace, but we'll be there together with T-shirts for our group). I've been doing Beth Moore's STEPPING UP Bible study and I LOVE it. She is such an amazing teacher of the Word. I'm also doing the Good Morning Girls study, and attending another study at church. I haven't started a non-fiction book yet this week (besides Stepping Up, which is actually quite a bit of daily reading). I'm finishing the 3rd Divergent book, Allegient, I'm about 1/2 way through. It's the library's copy, so I'm trying to get through that quickly and then I will get back to finishing "Burn Fat, Feed Muscle" (I'm 1/2 way through that). I'm going to post a blog today about our run group at church. My goal for this week is organization! My desk is an absolute mess with projects that I've been meaning to get to/start, and it's looking pretty crazy. I need to go through all of the stuff and see which projects to actually start, and which ones are just going to be too time-consuming and let those go... Going to get back to the Flylady system for housecleaning.
