I gave my fiance two options of bridal sets to choose from and he kept it from me til the perfect time! Of course he got the set that I personally wished for XD Great thing when you know each other better than anyone would think.
Congrats again :)

I guess if you are fine with knowing then it is not a big deal at all. I have lived with my fiance' for almost 4 yrs already. I took my great grandmas ring so I knew what I was getting but I had no clue when.
My finace' actually held onto the ring since August and then got it sized in November and proposed in December!
I picked out my own ring a couple weekends ago, we've been living together for two years and engaged for two months! There is no "normal" any more and don't let any one tell you what yer lovin' husband to be should have done! That you can do this together and be happy speaks well to many years of happiness to come!
My boyfriend and I have been living together for over a year now and the past several months have been saving for my engagement ring. Since we have a joint banking account I was able to see when he withdrew a big sum of money so I knew he had bought the ring. And since he's so excited about it, he's kept me up to date on when it's supposed to come in the mail and today is the day! I can't imagine that he will hold on to the ring longer than a day at the most so I'm pretty sure I'm getting engaged today!! I'm so excited!!!
Some of my friends are confused as to why it's not a surprise, why he hasn't kept more quiet about getting the ring and when he's going to propose and all that but I think it's really sweet. We've always been really close and shared everything with each other and have to wait until the last minute to buy each other birthday presents or else we'll give them right away.
This led me to think, are there other couples like us? Are there other couples who pretty much knew when they were going to be engaged or helped save up to buy their own ring? Or has everyone's proposals been big surprises? I know my mom actually designed her own engagement ring and when they went to pick it up from the store together my dad knelt in the parking lot to "officially propose" but they obviously already knew they were getting engaged.
What are your stories? I'll keep you posted on mine, I'm all butterflies and smiles right now!
