Good morning to all of you there. I have read some of the postings that you have here. I am getting married in November, and I finally just yesterday got the date and time locked in with the venue, the photographer is a friend of ours and refered us to the chapel here in town.
They offer the traditional music or we can choose our own. So, now I guess that I am in the process of trying to figure out just what I want to have when my FH and his groomsmen will walk up the isle to, and that of the bridal party will. During the ceremony I do know that when we turn to look at each other to exchange our vows I am wanting to have "Lost in your eyes" playing by Debbie Gibson because that was our song when we first started to date, and sounds cornie but we would just look into each others eyes and could see the love that we have in our hearts.
As for the music for me to come up the isle with my escort (my father passed a few years ago but will be with me in my heart) I have yet to figure that one out. One of my best male friends will be doing the honor of escorting me. Do any of you have any suggestions. I was thinking of "Forever in Love" by Kenny G.

Woohoo I finally made the decisions for the ceremony music!!! With 19 days to go I guess it was about time! For the parents and my bridesmaids to walk up the aisle it will be "Air on the G string" Bach (I can already hear people laughing about that one), then I will walk up the aisle with my dad to Canon in D (I know its a typical wedding song but I LOVE It and have always wanted to use it! Signing of the register will be to Winter, Movement 2 for the four season, Vivaldi and the recessional will be to Hornpipe from water music by Handel.

We are having an outdoor wedding with the music done by a classical violin and viola duo, so excited!

Smiling just makes everyones day better :)

I'm way too traditional when it comes to the beginning...I am walking to the "Here comes the bride" song. We are skipping over one of the biggest weddings songs, Ava Marie. My guy's brother sings at weddings and despises that song, since he has to sing it at least once a weekend. I'm not the biggest fan of it either.
On the way out, I have no idea. One of my friends, who married a firefigher, had a bag piper play them out. I don't know what I want yet though....

Goals & Reward:

170 - New Top or Shoes ** Done!**
160 - Brand New Jeans!
150 – New Leather jacket
140 - Shopping Spree!!!!
135 – Who cares what the reward is, I’ll be healthy and fabulous!!

One of my fiance's best friends is going to play a song from the Amelie soundtrack for us. The song has a few points where it changes so it should work for both the bridesmaids and me. We're still deciding what song to walk up the aisle to after. Sam, it's funny that you mention "You're My Best Friend" because I was thinking about that one the other day!

Got married May 30th, 2009!

I'm really hoping to have a string duo perform at our wedding if I can compromise somewhere to fit it in our budget. I'm walking down to to Ave Maria. I thought the string version by Schaubert was really beautiful and a very emotional, yet grand and holy song. My bridesmaids are walking into Canon in C and they are exiting to a version of Canon in D that my fiance and I love. It actually has a bit more bass and drums than the normal version so it has kind of a modern, hip hop vibe to it which he loves. I also plan to have an instrumental version of Unchained Melody played right before the processional starts to let everyone know that the wedding will be starting shortly :)

Don't just exist, LIVE! :)

This is really subject to change- but... I would love it if "Lost" by Michael Buble were sung while people were just sat and the MOB and everything were being sat. Then while everyone is walking if the Glasgow Love Theme from Love Actually played, and then while I walked the main title from The Notebook played. Yes, I'm a sucker for chick flicks!

We have a violinist and cellist performing our ceremony. They will play mostly all pop music. They will do a prelude for seating. They will play The Prayer for the mother's seating and then I will walk to Time in a Bottle. We will exit with Long Winding Road by the Beatles and the guests will proceed with Candy. The ladies performing are fantastic and they play in a quartet. We couldn't afford the entire quartet. I was thinking of having a butterfly release as we exit the small church. Still thinking about it and the cost.

Volveré by Kpaz de la Sierra, the slow version. We're just using one song for everyone's entrance. there is a noticable break in the song, so the attendants will proceed for the first half of the song then i will walk down the aisle the second half of the song. it's a significant meaning song for the two of us. whenever i hear it on the radio i always think of the wedding and gliding down the asile. and of course, we couldn't go with something typical, either. HA!

All day I have been searching for songs and I found a few...for the bridesmaids I'm thinking the St. Elmo's Fire Theme Love Song

youtube.com/watch?v=X5oCPchQWoI

I love that....and for me to walk down the aisle it would be Only Hope by Mandy Moore

youtube.com/watch?v=0ofeDruIwTM

My FH really likes that song and I love it too. I did the whole Here Comes the Bride for my first wedding and want everything to be different this time.

We are going really untraditional. The moms, the girls, and ring bear/flower girls are walking down to "Over the Rainbow" by the Izzy guy (can't remember his name, but it is with the ukuele). I am walking down to an instrumental version of Yesterday by the Beatles. Then on our way back up the isle we are walking to "Lust for Life" by Iggy Pop. There are going to be a lot of Royal Carribean employees and cruisers present and we thought it would be a funny thing.

Not going the traditional route. I'm walking to "Makes Me Whole" by Amel Larriuex. The song and lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful to me and the occasion. I should really pick another song because I know it will make me cry.

"A little sweat ain't never hurt nobody" - Beyonce

"It ain't over until you quit" - Heard on The Dave Ramsey Show

"Abdominals are made in the kitchen, not in the gym" - Justin Leonard

I have some very talented friends. One of my MOH's will play the flute while 2 other friends will play the piano and violin to Pachebel's Canon in D as I walk down the aisle. When my MOH's walk in the pianist will play Trumpet Voluntary (I think!!) For the Recessional I had thought of Etta James' At Last or The Hallelula (sp?) Chorus!

There is always Pachalbel's Canon in D or Vivaldi's 4 Seasons if you are looking for something classical but not hokey like here comes the bride.

I've wondered about this, too. One of my friends kept giggling at every point in her wedding that was too "traditional" for lack of a better word. I'm afraid I might do the same with that song.
