Trent ~ That sounds like a pretty good smoothie. I need to give that a try.

I was running late today so stopped at JumbaJuice and had a Fresh OJ and a Veggie-Delight Juice. The veggie delight was carrots and a green apple juiced and then blended with kale. ugghh! But it tasted healthy!

* Ginger (I used a larger slice than she)
* Almonds (she suggests cashews. I didn't have any)
* Chia Seeds
* Cinnamon (used 1/2t)
* Milk (used rice)

Rating: 7/10 (Good!)
Caveat: made this a few months ago, using cashews and almond milk.

As one who mostly makes the same 2 smoothies with slightly different ingredients, this is a very refreshing change. The ginger/cinnamon combined with the banana/milk make this very differently flavorful.

I notice no greens. I wonder if this is to maintain the color of it. I will likely try this with both Spinach/Kale to see if it affects the taste texture much. I will also likely try it with a lighter green such as Romaine to see if maintains it's color and can be a green smoothie.

(The recipe I was trying included red grapes as well but I didn't have any)

Rating: 5/10 (basically good)
Caveat: I've never tried Goji berries before. My sense is someone who liked them or used them regularly would rate it much more highly.

emoticon Same Fruit smoothie as yesterday. I did make another soup today in the Rx. Mushroom soup and it called for 2 garlic cloves. I like garlic, so I picked two big cloves. LOL Way, Way too garlicky when I ate it. Lesson learned!

1 C green lettuce leaves
.75 C fruit salad (cantaloupe, blueberries, mango & pineapple)
.5 C of sliced, seeded cucumber
.25 C avocado
.5 medium banana
10 fresh mint leaves
3 Tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice (1 lime)
1.5 C water

8/10 pleasantly surprised; I was improvising on an Alkaline smoothie recipe. The mint and lime give it a nice refreshing kick.

1 med banana frozen broken in 4th
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 scoop protein powder (I used vanilla flavored)
1/2 orange, peeled and halved
1tbs white chia seed
1 C unsweetened almond milk
1/4 C ice.
Place ingredients in order given, into 24 oz Nutri Ninja Cup.
Turn on then select Nutri Ninja Auto IQ Blend.

YUMMM! 362 cal, 10 G Fiber, 4G Protein, 21 G Carb.

1 cup almond milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/4 canned pumpkin
1/4 fat free vanilla yogurt
Frozen small banana
2-3 ice cubes
pumpkin pie seasoning to taste

Very yummy! 10/10.
