This morning's smoothie recipe was called Red Queen.
1 kale leaf
1/2 gala apple
1/8 red cabbage
23 red grapes
I just realized I was supposed to use 1/2 a medium beet too. Guess I'll have to try this again!
It was pretty okay though. :) It's actually listed in the juicing section of the "cookbook" -but whatever. :)

Today was Crazy Cran for my smoothie. It was unique. Nutty tasting.
I used about 1/2 c cranberries
1/2 small orange
1 collard green leaf
Maybe 1/2 cup each of baby arugula and baby spinach (it just says to use mixed baby greens)
2 mint leaves
1/2 pear
and I filled up the regular tall size nutribullet to the max line with coconut water
It wouldn't mind having it again.
It does say you can add lemon and banana if you'd like.
The recipe is good for its digestive properties

Oh, I just made quite a winner of a smoothie. I got it from "Everyday Paleo: Delicious Paleo Friendly Recipes" by Ken Siu (got it from Amazon, and it was likely a freebie for Kindle).
It's called Primal Spiced Pear Smoothie. I cut the ingredients in half, so this is what I put in it:
1 ripe pear
1/2 frozen banana
5/8 cup of nut milk (I used almond)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp vanilla (I used pure extract)
It didn't fill a big cup to the max line, so might have been able to use a small one

I've made others since I last posted but this one is really good.
handful of baby spinach
3 strawberries
1/2 c pomegranate seeds
1/2 red apple
1/2 peach
handful of red grapes
stalk of celery
It's nice but you might want some stevia if you don't prefer a drink a little bit tangy
the recipe says you can add banana but I don't see how there is room to :)

I tried a recipe called The Healthy Green Drink this morning. It's a smoothie made with:
watercress
green apple
a peeled lime
1/4 English cucumber
4 mint leaves
banana (optional)
water/ice
It's tangy (even with the small banana), but I can tell it's full of great nutrients and is giving me some good energy. I know also that it will help make my body less acidic (the book I got it from said so). :) I did add some stevia to it.
I must say though, that it made enough for two nutriblasts!

I'm back! I went camping on Thursday and now I'm back to reality emoticon

Today:
Breakfast: Romaine, brussell sprouts, banana, seeded grapes, pineapple, mango, vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, ground flax seed, OJ, water 8/10

Dinner: Green beans, Wild Berry mix (strawberries, cherries, blackberries, raspberries, pomegranate), vanilla protein powder, orange juice, chia seeds 10/10 Yummy!!

I'm not a big fan of celery either (unless it is full of cheese! lol)

Last night: Vanilla protein powder, strawberries, banana, vanilla almond milk 9/10

Breakfast: Romaine lettuce, carrot, vanilla protein powder, OJ, chia seeds, ground flax seed, pineapple, mango, banana, seeded grapes 10/10

Dinner: Cherries, banana, hemp seed, vanilla almond milk, vanilla protein powder. Gross! Yuck! Couldn't finish it, I drank less than half and poured the rest down the drain. 0/10

I put ground flax seed in my husband's after workout protein OJ drink. He says he spends the day picking flax seed out of his teeth. hahaha (I use the finely ground, lol)

Breakfast:
Kale, carrot, brussel sprouts, cherries, seeded grapes, banana, blackberries, blueberries, coconut milk, chia seeds, ground flax seed, water. Not bad, not my favorite but can put it in my drink rotation. 7/10

Breakfast: Kale (yep, I still have some left), carrot, green beans, mango, banana, pineapple, seeded grapes, coconut milk (thank goodness it doesn't taste like coconut water! lol), chia seeds, vanilla protein powder, ground flax seed. I think I still prefer the OJ with this but it's still tasty with the coconut milk. 8/10

Dinner: Kale, blueberries, banana, vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, coconut milk.
Should have used 1/2 of banana, this was to creamy like (?) taste was pretty good, I didn't like the texture. 5/10

Thanks for the info Chrysanthemum! I'll buy some coconut milk this weekend and give it a try! I need to start branching out and being more brave.

Breakfast:
Kale, carrot, asparagus, pineapple, mango, banana, seeded grapes, vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, ground flax seed, OJ, water. 10/10 My favorite!!

I have been missing my chia seeds because I was out. So happy I have some now. I don't grind them up, I leave them whole and mix in, let them soak in my smoothie until I get to work (about 30 - 40 min) then I slurp away!! It's like a bunch of little surprises in my drink emoticon

So happy y'all joined in, now I'm not feeling so all alone!! Have a great weekend!

Coconut milk is very yummy ( from the can). Coconut water, by itself - yuck. But mixed into a smoothie you cannot detect :)

I'm new to the team and also new to the nutribullet. I've been using this amazing little item since last Saturday. I've been having two filling smoothies a day. This morning mine consisted of: spinach, frozen strawberries and cherries, banana, flax seeds and coconut milk. That was a very tasty concoction. Who would've have thought it was so healthy!! I am still full!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Today: Iced cafe skinny lattee - skimmed milk, ice and coffee.

Have struggled a bit with my stomach today after the the fruit smoothie (lesson learnt), so haven't really eaten much at all yet. Am looking forward to a simple spinach or kale smoothie later.

IAMLION: I ams sorry to hear about your Kitty. Vince (the cat in my profile picture) died a few months ago also - he was only 10 but had I think led a precarious life (he was a rescue cat). Still missing him terribly.
