I signed up for the free course, tow day's ago. No emails yet. Not sure about it. Information was good but I thing weak in the follow-up.

I'm reading "How to reverse Diabetes" right now. It too is looking at the glycemic index and eating a lot of whole foods, Fruits and Vegetables.

Had to change up my fast though, was getting hungry. I modified to two blast a day, breakfast and dinner. For lunch I eat a raw fruits and vegetables. I'm liking it so far.

Hi Beasley....No I decided not to do his course. Instead, I am reading a book called "Don't Die Early...the Life you Save May be Your Own". I'm liking it...he's explaining what foods are really good for you and what ones aren't. Did you know wheat can cause heart disease? I gave up wheat 3 mos. ago and I'm glad I did. The other big message I'm getting is to avoid high glycemic because that's what makes your body store fat and that's what causes diabetes, heart disease etc. I kind of already knew that, but it's good to get it emphasized. It stopped me from eating some ice cream today!

No, I haven't done a Nutriblast fast...myself I'm not much on fasting except maybe a day at a time (intermittent fasting), just because I love to eat. I did find that when I followed the Primal Diet I would forget to eat sometimes. I think I need to get back to Primal/Paleo. You have to be very careful thinking you can eat "gluten free"...but then it becomes high glycemic again. I think there's a problem out there with people thinking they can eat "gluten free" and be ok. Better to really cut back on carbs and anything high glycemic.

Blessings & Hugs,
--Maya

Maya Angel have you indeed tried the free course yet?

I too have printed the below post and am excited by the prospects of healthier eating habits.

I am currently trying a NutriBlast fast for a few days, on Day three and feeling great.. Has any one else tried this?

Glad you liked it as much as I did, Brave One. I too, thought that was excellent info and I may sign up for his free course. Everything he said about food is how I am currently thinking about it.

I am re-posting a great post from the Nutribullet recipes link at Facebook. Great observations here about how to lose weight with Nutribullet.

P.S. Since April 2012 (when this page started) many of you have been asking for specific recipes to help you with a health challenge you may be having (weight loss, arthritis etc.)

Here is what you should know...and how you should be thinking instead...

When you put the "good stuff" (fruits, veggies, healthy fats, other seeds) into your body, they positively impact EVERY SYSTEM in your body to move it into the "optimum zone."

By drinking healthy nutriblasts, and staying consistent with this activity, they help you combat more than just "one" challenge you may be presently having.

Instead of treating your nutriblasts like a "Pill" (Which is how normal medicine approaches the treatment of health challenges)...I recommend you adopt this approach when making your nutriblasts...

RECOMMENDED MINDSET: "I am putting the best possible stuff into my body, and I know it is positively impacting every single system in my body to help me be the best I can be."

As the year comes to a close, there are many of you who are looking to lose weight with your NutriBullet...here is the secret to losing weight with your NutriBullet that has worked wonders for me.

SECRET TIP: If you want to use your NutriBullet to help you lose weight, spend your time making veggie forward blasts (80% veggies 20% fruit....or 100% veggies and 0% fruit). Use either the large or small cup depending on how much you want to drink...AND AT THE SAME TIME...eat a piece of lean protein with your meal (such as tuna (with avocado instead of mayo), boneless skinless chicken breast, turkey burgers (made on a George Foreman grill), any fish (I wild caught salmon), greek yogurt (I like the Fage brand), egg whites, or organic beef).

If you want to add starchy carbs to your meal, make sure you use what are called "slow-releasing carbs." These carbs are starchy carbs that DON'T spike your blood sugar when you consume them. My favorite slow-releasing carbs are: brown rice, oatmeal, spelt bread, whole wheat bread, spelt pasta, and sweet potatoes (with no butter or other dressings.)

Another tip that you can use with your nutriblasts to help make them even more fat-burning focused is to use green tea for the liquid instead of just water. (This was a tip provided by one of the community members here, and it is an amazing one!) This works because green tea has been researched and in studies has been shown to help people lose weight when they drank more of it.

The reason most people are overweight is because they don't keep their blood sugar stable, and are constantly raising it to a level that puts their body into "fat storage mode." Remember "when you spike blood sugar, your body goes into storage mode." And on the flip side..."when you keep blood sugar stable, your body burns fat for energy more effectively...AS LONG AS you continue to give your body enough calories to run on (Otherwise you go into starvation mode, which glues fat to you faster than white on rice.)

I talk more about how to leverage this concept of strategically using veggies, proteins, healthy fats and starchy carbs when eating in the special email course I created for you that will help you lose your first 10 pounds in 2013.

If you would like to sign up to dive deeper into the art of losing your first 10 pounds, and are committed to taking action to help you reach your goal, you can sign up by clicking the link below.
