I hope that everyone is doing well in the new year. Can you believe it will be March soon?

I have been holding steady on the weight--only up 2.5 pounds. I started exercising again today, after a long stall out period.

I've been slipping on eating gluten, and have vowed to get back on the gluten free way. It is not so hard to do once you get used to not having bread in your life. Gluten increases the inflammation in my body, and then I don't lose the weight like I should.

I just got back on track over the Thanksgiving holiday. I made a list of do-able daily goals and posted it where I can see it and track it! Keeping a food diary and journal. And hitting the gym. That's the hardest part - going to the gym when I'd rather just stay home. But I'm back on track and I'm very glad. emoticon

Had rain, rain and rain here in Southern England this week but we are promised better weather next week emoticon
Hope to post a photo of me at the end of my half marathon walk on my Spark page in a minute. Had to be literally hauled onto my feet afterwards!! emoticon

We finally got a Fall day and I was ecstatic. It is supposed to get hot again this weekend, so we are not out of the woods, yet.

To celebrate a nice rainy day, I made green split pea soup and corn bread. My sis loved it as it is like our momma used to make. Glad I stood by her side at the stove, even if she didn't let me cook-lol!

Huzzah!!! Hope everyone is having a Curvy day so far! emoticon

Becca, I exercise daily and always do something as early in the morning as possible. If I just don't have the oomph right away, I do 15 minutes or so, then maybe post on the internet or do a little work or something, then finish the full workout I have planned or hold the rest until later in the day.

It is both to get it out of the way and also to take advantage of the cooler temps (I'm in central AZ) but also just because I tend to have more energy in the a.m.

Woot! Hope you are getting your true Cali Fall by now. We are in double digits, so that is the best I can hope for today lol.

That's great that you went on the walk and the run. Do you tend to do this earlier in the day to get it out of the way? That's the way I am when the weather is cooler. We are trying to get some cooler weather in Cali--it is a little cooler, but I want the true Cali Fall!

Paul and two of my three kids are at the gym now. Why haven't I gone too? Won't pay the exorbitant fees!
Other son is fast asleep upstairs. He went out drinking/clubbing last night so will be dead to the World for hours yet!
After glorious sunshine here on the UK's South Coast the temperature has fallen today and the rain is back. No more hanging the washing outside for a while!
Nice easy day ahead for me. May watch a dvd later - have loads to choose from which I haven't seen yet!

The rest of the family are spending most of the day at a soccer match in London so I get the house to myself.... yay!!

Good Morning Everyone. Hope you're all having a great Thursday.
I've been busy this morning cleaning out our catch all spare bedroom. It's where all Bob's woodworking stuff goes when he's too lazy to take it back out to the work shop. It's our "garage" so to speak, to store our yard sale items as we get them. But it had gotten to the point where you couldn't walk inside the door and finding anything was impossible. So I cleaned it up and organized it so now "I" know where everything is. If Bob wants something out of there, if he tells me what he wants, I can go right to it. Otherwise he'll have to look a little.

Our landlord doesn't pay him what the work is worth, but since he provides all the materials, we let it slide on the price. And he helps us in non-money ways so it evens out.

Morning Everyone,
I got out this morning and did my walk then did some yard work/ gardening. Our neighbor next door moved and our landlord bought the house so he said I could go over and get any of the potted plants she had left if I wanted them. I got the ones I could and one huge one he'll bring over for me as I can't manage it myself. He has my hubby building shutters for the house and that'll give us a little extra money. Bob is a master woodcrafter and the landlord has had him make things for him many, many times. The landlord provides all the wood and nails, screws, etc. Bob just builds them and he gets paid for the labor. So it works out for both of them. With Bob's heart condition, he can only work about 2 hours a day but it gives him something to look forward to each day, instead of sitting around watching TV all day.
I doubt he'll be out more than 2 hours today. It's extremely humid outside.
