That's great! My fiance and I have both sworn off of soda and haven't had any in 4 weeks. We found it easier to do if we had both water and a flavoured alternative. We keep a pitcher of water in the fridge, as well as water bottles (sometimes it seems I'll balk at getting water if I have to take out the pitcher and pour it in a cup, while I'm good with just grabbing the bottle out of the door of the fridge). We also bought some flavoured teas and steeped them, and then chilled them - some of them have been fantastic even without any type of sweetener added (we're not using sugar or sweeteners right now). A couple of our favourites have been ginger peach, apple cinnamon, and creme brulee.
Hey you all, try a soda stream. It's just tap water you can carbonated with a co2 tube as much as you like, cause I don't like highly carbonated drinks. You can add any flavoring you want. I get tired of plan water and ice tea all the time and it has been a welcome change. there are lots of 0 calorie flavors they make and even a slice of lemon or lime is nice.
Really having a hard time even maintaining right now. Back up to starting weight + UGH!!!!!

Soda is my down fall, especially pepsi. I have kicked the habit of drinking pepsi on a daily regular basis and had started drinking nothing but water. Now I still don't drink pepsi but I have a fridge full of diet coke and fresca. You think I would stop all together knowing I have kidney problems. I just get tired of drinking all the time and want something with taste. I did make a picture of Crystal Light lemonade this morning so its a start. Good luck everyone!!!

No soda is such a good thing. It's just so hard on your body from your teeth to your kidneys. I've read so much research on how bad it can be and that helped me kick the habit - now I don't even crave it, ever. When I do have one it's just not that good anymore and I have a mental image of negative stuff associated with soda that pops into my mind whenever I think of it. I have plenty of other bad habits but that is one I could kick and if I can anyone can. Drinking the 8 glasses of water is a major help so I don't end up thirsty. Good luck on your goals!

Oh, soda is a toughie! I'm not a soda drinker myself, but a friend of mine just went through a couple weeks of Dr. Pepper withdrawls...and she was no fun to be around! But, it only took 2 weeks, which I'm sure feels like a lifetime when you're used to drinking it everyday. Just know it can be done and keep up the good work!!!!!

Bravo!!!! Staying away from soda can be difficult yet your body will love you for it. Keep up your efforts; you can do it!!!! Try to remember that the artificial sweetners in diet soda's are known cancer causing agents. I know that while we may know what is not so healthy we still indulge, so I am rooting for all of us to not drink any soda - we can do it!
Ok, not the stellar day I planned - typical for me- it all falls apart after 8. I swear, if I slept at 9pm each night I would be small. :). On the good side - I didn't have ANY SODA!!! For me- that is HUGE!!!
