So glad I found this team. I just checked the 8 min. in the morning book out from the library and love it. I am starting today. I am really excited about this. I would love to know if you are all getting results!! emoticon

Oh my, just wrote a long reply and it did not post! Not sure why!
Oh well....I will write a shorter version.....
Our lives get so busy that when a curve ball comes our way we just don't have time for it. I often times have to remind myself to slow down and smell the roses! emoticon
In the morning I try to center my day with some readings (well, almost every morning). One little book is "Meditations For Women Who Do Too Much" by Anne Wilson Schaefer
Today's quote is "Wanna fly, you've gotta give up the stuff that weighs you down" by Toni Morrison ( Actually used another word for Stuff but SP said no profanity please LOL....even though I changed it maybe that is why it would not post???)

Well, let's hope we have better weeks than last!

I hope you're able to get some sense of normalcy back soon. 14 hour days is too much for anyone! Do you foresee things settling down a bit in the future? A new position, getting in the groove, working things out - ok, maybe craziness for a few weeks. But that can't be a lifestyle! I hope things settle down a little bit soon and I'm glad to hear you have plans for some fun this weekend! I am truly impressed that given this crazy schedule you're keeping up with your 8 minutes! Good for you!

Oh so sorry to hear you hurt your back! Yes, we need to listen to our body when something like that happens. Hope it is feeling better.
Put in another 14 hour day yesterday! Yikes. Going to do something fun this weekend.....not sure what yet.

Sometimes just getting through the daily routine is accomplishment enough! I'm having a week like that. I hope you get the weekend off and take some time out for yourself!

Have to keep this short, my to do list is long tonight, but in a nutshell - I've had to stop my 8 min this week. I was doing great on Mon and Tuds, but then at school I fell and hurt my back. Will blog this weekend, but just got in from having xrays. Thankfully no fractures, instead muscle spasms. Thinking it best to not push it with any ST or jogging for a week or so. It's still pretty painful.

You keep hanging in there! Friday is almost here!!! God love you for sticking with you 8 min though all of this. I bow down to you, my sparkfriend!!!

Do not usually complain. Try to stay positive but right now I am exhausted! Yesterday worked from 7AM to 9 PM! Am lucky I live near the office so no real commute time. This new job is sooooo challenging but need to get it right. The staff I am overseeing has had multiple managers over a short period of time and that is part of the problem!
With that being said I will get off my "soap box" and get to my 8 Minutes in the Morning.

Hoping this coming week isn't as crazy for you. Enjoy some well deserved rest today!

I'm very impressed with your stick-to-it-ivness with the 8 min program through all of this! You are doing great! How are you finding it to be? To me, once I get into a routine, it's pretty easy to keep going, but once my routine gets out of whack is when I struggle ( such as this past week).

Such a long week! Again I do not like to whine but sometimes a little honest expression is good! With this new job I am trying to transition from my other position and also step into this one. Still negotiating salary and details. In the meantime went to the office on Monday the holiday, yesterday and will go in today for some hours. That will mean by Friday it will be 12 days straight! In addition, working 10 - 12 hours / day!
Oh well, trying to be grateful I do have a job, grateful I am healthy enough to work long hours and grateful for my supportive family in also believing I can do it!
Am going to fit in my Eight Minutes in The Morning! Going to use SP for support and encouragement! Oh, yes and am going to watch the Academy Awards tonight, a great distraction for the mind taxing stuff of late! Anyone else up for that?

Good for you!!! I've swapped them out before, too, such as lunges when my knees are bothering me. I am not having a very good week, but will save my whining for my weekly blog this weekend. (lol!)

It was a crazy week here, too. I'm glad to be off this week.

Congrats on the new position! They must think highly of you to be giving you the additional challenge. Great attitude, you CAN do it!

How's the 8 min going? Do you think you'll be able to squeeze it in in the mornings with this new job?

I have a confession. I had one morning this week that I did not do it - the first time I've ever been working through a 'round' (a 28 day session) and skipped a day. I woke up late and truly didn't have time! However, I can tell I've come a long way. 'Old me' would have spent so much time and energy telling myself I blew it, which in turn would have likely led to me quitting or stopping completely (since I hadn't followed it perfectly). 'New me' is learning to accept that the journey isn't perfect and speed bumps happen.
