Hello, I'm new to running too, and looking forward to reading the replies to this question.
When I first started run/walking a couple of months ago I went every morning before breakfast. But now I'm running non stop and going further (4 miles) I go Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I wonder if I should be doing more. I do strength training Mon, Wed & Fri.
I think it depends how far/long you run, if you should rest your muscles for a day or more before running again.
