I'm also on the fence. :P I could REALLY use her beginner's workouts (a 6-week program now to be included with ZGym.) I'm not at the point where I can even remotely keep up with her or do the moves as intended. But if I can complete the beginner's program, which I would have to pay for, I could then end the membership and actually do the free workouts correctly. We'll see...

I agree, there are SO many Zwows and old BR workouts from her that the membership isn't needed. There are so many ways to tweak these exercises and change them up. I feel the same as you, sad but not angry. I'll still follow her her FB and watch her videos and I'll probably also purchase her Power Strength DVD once I get back into the swing of things.
I like to sit on the fence too. ;)
I'm not surprised this is happening. I'm sad about it but not angry about it. I do understand why she is doing it ... if you can earn money doing something you love and people are supporting you and pushing you and providing you with the tools you need to do it, then why not? Like it's been said earlier, it makes good business sense.
I won't be buying the membership. The main reason is there are too many free workouts out there what I can make use of instead of paying...I now have a little knowledge behind me to create my own Zuzka style workouts if need be, plus so many old Zuzka/Bodyrock workouts I already have in my file... my next task could be to go through them all over again and see if I can beat my scores.
I have a lot of love for Zuzka and will always be here to cheer her along... I'll maybe buy her dvds once they become available in the UK. I used to buy her "a cup of coffee" once in a while to thank her for her time and effort... so I'm not against 'supporting' her in that way either.
No, I did not see this coming. She has to make a living though and I can imagine this might be her full time job. Personally, I don't do her workouts enough as it is to be getting a membership. Even if I did, I probably still wouldn't do it.

Personally, I cannot afford it. I don't care how many different ways everyone puts it ie the "don't buy starbucks drinks" or anything else... well, I don't! I don't do those things. Then again, I'm not yet using her ZWOWs in a weekly manner so it would be wiser for me not to allot that money to spend on the ZGym. (I just use the ZCUT workout DVDs right now)
That being said, I completely understand why she is doing it. I think it is a great way to support herself since she is getting wildly popular. Also, she did do this for free for quite some time. Even if you look at her site you see that she doesn't have the advertising base or pushing fancy equipment - which otherwise pays for the other people that say they are doing it for "free". I'm proud of her! I think it is a wise step, business wise, and I hope it works out for her.
I'd like to end by saying that I really do love Zuzka. She stands for all that is getting healthy and she's just so down to earth. I'll definitely miss seeing all the new stuff and getting those updates because they did push me. However, once I finish the ZCUT program, I'll be buying her newest DVD set. The route of her DVDs makes more sense, for me. It fits into my life better and isn't a monthly commitment. I make one payment and I have all I want and need of Zuzka.
That's my opinion :)
So Monday the 10th June will see the launch of Zuzanas new project as part of the introduction of her Zgym. Unfortunately membership of this Zgym comes at a price of $9.99/month, and it appears that the only way to access the new ZWOW's (from 71 onwards) is to have membership. Members will also get other workouts including beginner ones and ZShred. Further information is available on her blog.
What are your thoughts on this? Is Zuzana justified in charging for her workouts which changes the principles behind the 'free home workout movement' previously upheld. Did you see it coming? Will you pay to become a member?
I'm kind of sitting on the fence on this one.
