Hey guys, is anyone out there in this group? I am an actor in Indianapolis fighting the good fight against fast food and growing waist lines! Who is with me? Would love to connect with other actors out there that is struggling with fitness/nutrition/time management. Let's re-activate this group!
Love my acting for camera class, I used to do it for a living In my 20's and have been doing mostly radio for the last 30 years. I miss theatre too but feel I needed to go back to some basics before auditioning for anything, and now I remember why I love acting so much, at first it's hard to break through to the core, but once I touch it, Man it's like being in love. I know you guys know what I mean. Look foreward to hearing all about your acting choices, jobs, and your paths to health. I am learning at 51 it's okay to be what I am right now, even though it's not where I want to be (physically). I suffered terribly with this in my 20's, constantly under pressure to look a certain way etc. Go out and tell some great stories with your art friends, looking forward to hearing about it.

I am very glad I found this group, though the last post's on this Subject were last year, who knows, maybe I will start a trend! I have not been in a show for almost a year now!!!! It is crazy!!! I hope to have an audition coming up for The Producers, with a pretty good group from my state, though my weight is very high now, the highest it has ever been, so I may not be going in with as much confidence as I should be. I need a lot of work, physically and mentally.

Hey everyone! :) My name is Lexi and I'm super thrilled to be back on the Sparkpeople track! I was a member of Sparkteens for a while when I was younger, and switched over a couple of years ago. However, I haven't used it for a while and am revamping everything so that I can continue down the road of healthy living. About Me: I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting. Because Acting involves the entire mind, body, and spirit, it is important that I stay physically well so that I am able to take on any role I encounter. I also seek balance, and hope that by stabilizing myself physically I will continue to grow and live a life full of happiness and void of stress! By the end of my Sparkpeople journey, I want to be able to rely on my own motivation to the point where I no longer need the wonderful, constant support that the site provides.
Hi, I've struggled with weight loss for a while but have always been able to fight my way back. As I get older, this is a lot harder. I am a theatre teacher and always seem to get this gain during the holiday season and then it gets worse during rehearsal season as I spend hours rehearsing with children and then make poor food choices due to overall busyness. I spend months taking off 10 - 20 pounds and then gain it back. Each time it gets harder to do. I look forward to finding a "method" for my lifestyle that is healthier and easy to manage. We just finished a very successful run of The Wizard of Oz. My 6-12th graders did fantastic. One of our strongest shows yet. So here I go again trying to take it back off. I hope some of you have some ideas of how I can stop the cycle.
