As someone working nights for 32 years,I always looked at nights as not having to face JACHO; working nights is rough on diet and nutrition;as a night worker who is not a night person,I think that subconsciously,I "rewarded" myself with sweet, salty foods. I know I felt, poor me,everyone else is sleeping and I am working.
I am trying to change that kind of thought process, but it's an ongoing battle

Been working as a nurse since 1988 and this is the first time I have had the "pleasure." One of the perks of being night shift is avoiding JACHO entanglements. I broke down and had a diet dr pepper (I am a stress drinker as well as stress eater) but I am proud to report I turned down a doughnut.

I think our incident is going to be ok but the DON was looking stressed when I was able to make my escape.
