I don't have any problem finding a training schedule, as there are lots available online and in books I can get from my library. I am curious about participating in a group with a coach that keeps us accountable, answers questions as they come up, and gives direction about unforeseen things like weather changes.

I looked at Hal Higdon last night but forgot about Jeff Galloway. I will have to go look him up again.

Thanks!

I'm with Liz, Galloway does a great job and so does Hal Higdon.

Congrats on signing up for a Half-Marathon! Mine is coming up next month and I am very excited about it.

There are lot of great programs you can look up online and download. Jeff Galloway and Hal Higdon both have very reliable and popular programs.

You can also look at RunnersWorld.com and search their resources.

Look for a program that really matches your current fitness level. Many will have beginner and intermediate starting points.

Enjoy!

My half marathon is scheduled for May 4, 2013. I am looking for a coaching program to help me get there. Any suggestions?
