Some people have said that calf compression sleeves or socks help with shin splints. I enjoy them for 5K's to half's, but nothing longer to avoid blood pooling in the feet. They can be expensive ($30-$50), but I feel better when I wear them. Probably just mental, though.

I was running yesterday and I started getting THAT pain in my legs. I've got shin splints starting! In 9 months I've tried 6 different types of running shoes, and they all end the same way. GRRR

My real concern is I have a 5K this Saturday that I REALLY NEED to do! Any ideas on how to nurse this so I can get through Saturday?
