I just learned how to reseat (bead and seal) a small tire without an innner tube. My small snowblower tire. Pretty cool, like Macgyver cool. lol Take safety precautions of course if you try it. It worked great. Most use starter fluid or you can use hair spray like I did.

Oh I don't recommend lighting the spray on fire though but you have to be able to stand back a ways.

WOW, thanks for sharing your library. Lots of interesting resources to check out there. I'm not a prepper (yet) but am working on it. I have a container garden, and enjoy eating fresh food and watching the plants flourish. :)

Just ordered 32 Duracell batteries for $15.99 on e-bay. hee hee Good until 2022. I'll put them in the fridge with the other few batteries I have in there for emergencies and such. ...a tip from my friend Bob, about getting them on e-bay I mean. I didn't think of ordering batteries on line before. I didn't think you could get them cheaper. emoticon

This page lists the "top 50 survival blogs":
www.survivaltop50.com/

I started my own blog not long ago where I try different things and post on them. ..from the perspective of someone on a budget. It includes things like home-made cleaners and such but there is an alphabetized list of subjects on the right. :)

there is a lot of great info here to research! Are you guys on Facebook? I've found a lot of great ideas on prepping, survivalism, and homesteading, and my favorite activity this year....food preservation!! I finally have someone (my husband) that supports food hoarding!!

Natural Disasters: Tornadoes

The spring of 2012 has seen numerous deadly tornadoes and severe storms that struck the Midwest. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and her federal partners continue to work with state and local agencies in the aftermath. In addition, the National Weather Service (NWS) continues to keep watch over the skies as more storms continue to form across the Plains. Click www.examiner.com/article/natural-dis

Being Prepared Must Include Intelligence Gathering

The term “being prepared” or “preppers” bring to mind images of ham radios, a weapon stash, and of course stockpiling resources. However an often overlooked necessity for being prepared is intelligence gathering. Click HERE www.examiner.com/article/being-prepa
