Emotional eating has to be the #1 worst trigger of them all. I to have fallen prey to it and still battle the beast every so often.

But this is a new thing I do before eating anything.

1- I look at the time, if its not anywhere near a meal time then I stop and think/asked myself WHY am I hungry??? If its not for hunger than I move slowly away from the fridge and go for a walk, reach for my computer/sparkpeople. Anything to keep busy.

My triggers:

Tired
Sick
Emotional (happy, upset, mad, etc)

I used to eat for almost any reason. Tired, mad, happy, sad....almost anything except hunger.

we all have a list. And I feel by enumerating all that can prevent us from reaching our goals, is a terrific way of making us aware of the problems and making us accountable for them as well.

mine is as long and scary to read. But I posted it on my fridge door so I can see them and try to make sure I don't let my triggers win.

My triggers are stress, being tired, boredom, being swayed by others, thinking that I can always start tomorrow...yeah quite the list.

My triggers are many but the worst of them would have to be, A few days before my period I always get a craving for chocolate. And if I don't eat any, I'm in a terrible mood for the duration of the craving. Which usually last 2 to 3 days. How bad is that I ask you.
