Jody, yes, sugar is a hard one for sure. It's just the first 4-5 days then it's not so bad. It's been raining on and off today. I didn't get out for a walk and had things to get done around here anyway. Then Hubby and me went out to lunch. He does that when he has a night meeting and will be home really late.

Welcome to the month October. The month of THE LOSERS!!!! emoticon
(Note to self:) We WILL lose weight this month and this time I mean it.
4-5# IS doable!!!!! Darn it! emoticon

Debbie: Those are obtainable goals although the laying down of the treats may be a slight challenge. That is my problem too so I will be joining you in doing that. I don't drink alcohol so the little guy with the water was my way of toasting all who are doing well.
I am so excited for you! Being @ goal would be the best Christmas present ever!!!!

Good Afternoon! emoticon Last day of September 2014! Three more months left of this year! I'm going to make them count. I'm re focused and ready to go. My goal for October is to lose at least 5 pounds. I think that is doable. If I do 4-5 pounds a month, by end of year I'll be at goal! I know I can do it.

Jody, I know you can get there too! I'm rooting for ya! I have no problem with the emoticon It's the treats. Ice cream and cookies. I've decided for the month of October to lay those down. I've done it before and I felt great. The sugar gets me in trouble!!! I did get out and enjoyed the weather! I went for my walk!

Time to take inventory again & make plans for the next 31 days. It seems that I am maintaining my current weight :( Not a good thing. Granted better than continuing to gain but I DO NOT LIKE being here. I know what needs to be done. If you've been Sparking for any length of time you do know. Now to JUST DO IT!

I'm doing GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRReat getting outside meeting the neighbors. I made a big pot of veg soup for the WHOLE week with farmer's market onions instead of noodles. I put the onions in the same sack with green peppers and in two days all were bright red. Chopped them up and using as soup base. Good work team holding everyone to their healthy eating and fitness goals! emoticon emoticon

Debbie ~ emoticon So happy you were back to rights yesterday and very proud of you for avoiding those I'm oh so tired munchies. I get those too & someone else said they do too.
Thanx for setting an example on how to avoid them.

Jan & Maribeth ~ How'd you ladies do yesterday? Come on you guys! We HAVE to get our eating in check! This time of year is bad enough with all of the seasonal excuses to indulge lurking around every corner. So NOT a good idea to get a head start.

I've not been doing so well in that department either but thank goodness I've been keeping active enough that for now the extra cals. aren't having a drastic affect on the scale numbers.
But it would be too easy to let it get totally out of hand.

Me too! I fell off the weight loss effort for a month and getting back on track by drinking! Thirst is more powerful trigger (survival trait). I made soup with vegs and low sodium chicken stock further diluted. Pot full of water, vegs have high water content, fuller longer. Whey protein shakes with coffee and a few frozen fruits blended creamy like cappuccino only low cal.
Any more Ideas to curd cravings and grazing? emoticon

Hi to all,

DH is in hospital. He called me at work on Monday said needed to go to ER.

On the way home a young lady decided to change lanes, but my car was in the way. Tip: don't take down information when you're thinking about getting DH to hospital. Noone was hurt - car paint scraped.

In ER for about 8 hours then to a room. So that's how I've been spending my time.

Good news-potassium levels are down - fingers crossed heart cath today! He's been in a good mood - which is a good thing.

PS that's how I lost 2 pounds Monday and Wendys Apple something salad (590 calories) is how I gained 1.5 of it back this morning. emoticon

Please keep him in your prayers!
