It is almost time for me to get ready for church on this last day of October. It has been a busy month. DH will go in tomorrow to have a drain put into his leg so that the fluid in his knee can be released and won't cause any damage. The hole is slowly healing. In light of Darlene's blog today, he may meet someone in the future that has this problem, and will be able to offer advice; or maybe the doctors will do things differently if they come across this in the future. The doctor who did the surgery is DH's boss. He is a wonderful man; hopefully DH will have a chance to witness to him and he could be saved someday.
DD goes back to work tomorrow, so it is time for a new schedule. I don't know when DH will be going back to work. He had some training to attend today, and I think he has more this weekend. I am determined to get back to working out at least a little bit a day, except Sunday, in November. I am tired of being tired, and want to get moving again. Thank you everyone for your prayers. Have a good night.
Kristi

Hello, friends. I pray this day finds you well and pressing forward.
It is a busy day ahead of me. My doctor's appointment Monday put me to feeling behind, though with FLYLADY we know we are never really behind. So I am focusing on today, doing what I can, knowing that here a little, there a little will get me where I need and want to be.
Hang in there. Darlene
May we run in such a way that we may win. Think strong. Be strong. Finish strong. (1 Cor. 9:24).
Thanks for your update Darlene and for your prayers. I have joined you in praying for those affected by superstorm Sandy. My sister Jen and her family (7 altogether) live in Pa. Both her home and business are without power. It is 50 degrees there and will drop overnight. Please pray for Jen and her family along with all of those who have been affected! Thanks!

Thanks, Christine. Things went well.
Good morning! Barely. It is after 11 here and looking to be a beautiful day here. And as I think on that, I am praying for those in the path of Sandy as she continues to wreek havoc on the north east.
I have much to do today, so as I am enjoying some good worship music this morning and turning my heart over to God, I wanted to check in here and let you know I am praying for you too. Have a blessed and glory filled day!

We had a wonderful time with my cousin, daddy, and friend Bill. My sister dropped by later when she got off work. It was just a blessed evening that left me wanting MORE!
Feeling scattered today, little focus. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon to get a mole checked out.

I am getting excited as time draws near for my cousin to be here. Yesterday God strengthened me to get things done. I need that again today. My body is yelling, "Enough, already!" wanting me to take a day off, but I still have things to do to be ready for them. I want to clean the fridge out before I do the shopping today and then I need to get the shopping done. If all goes well, I will have little to d tomorrow and will be able to rest until they arrive.
Hope you have a blessed day! Darlene

Another busy day ahead as I prepare for my cousin and his wife to be in this weekend. Much to do today. Ugh. Here a little, there a little, cat naps between.

I am very busy today, cleaning before the house cleaners get here. Gotta get my clutter out of the way so they can clean. It is not as bad as it sound. A couple of hot spots under control, make the bed, put throws away, etc. But I chose today to replace some end tables with small book cases. My DH and I office in our loveseat. I am hoping to organize our area so it stays less cluttered. Anyway, I am running out of time to get it done and out of there way. Doind a no no and sparking while I eat a bite. Need to get back at it. Hugs to you! Have a great and productive day!

Thanks girls. Hoping to keep it off and keep pressing forward.
I am very excited! First thing this morning, on my birthday no less. I was blessed with the sound of my cousin's voice on the phone. I have not seen in over a year and he was calling to let us know that they will be in town for a night this weekend. I am so excited to get to see him if only for a short meal on Friday. So I have a busy week ahead, getting ready for him and his wife to be here.
It has been a glorious day today. Thanks to you all for being part of my blessing from God.
Hugs to you, Darlene

Happy dancing! In other posts and blogs I shared that I am working to lose .7 lbs / week, reaching my weight loss goals by this time next year. 166 this morning; down from 167.8. I got my .7 for this week!

We're hanging in here. I'm exhausted, and DH is struggling with fluid in his knee. We have mission conference starting tomorrow. Hopefully I can get enough sleep tonight. I will be glad when my daughter gets home next Friday. Have a good night.

Today I have worked on getting the direction of one of my other teams in order and I feel good about the path I see God leading that group to. So now it is after 3. I must get up and going from here. Our DD1 and her oldest DD will be here Saturday night, just overnight. I have some homemaking joys to tend to. And I still have not got to my food tracker or got any exercise in yet. I have too many writing assignments going on all at once. It is keeping me in my chair too long. Hope you all have a blessed rest of your day!

We're still getting snow here. It's been snowing for two days. That is unusual for here. I need to go shovel it, but am not sure I want to. It does make for a good workout. DD will be home a week from Friday, so that will help with things around the house. We have mission conference starting this Friday. We're looking forward to that. It should be a good week.

I have much to do today, but wanted to take time to check in on teams and threads before I get busy. Yesterday I caught up on finances / bookkeeping. What a mess. I simply must find a way to protect my time in keeping up with that homemaking joy that is not always so joyful. Today I plan to focus on the kitchen and do some extra things in there.
You all are in my prayers, which are more fervent than they have been in a long while. It is awesome to have that flow renewed.
BLESSings to you all! Darlene

Today is daddy's birthday celebration. There will be lots of people and kids there. Dealing with Daddy can be a challenge, so praying for peace. And they have already removed their air conditioner from the window. It is still hitting near 90s here. Add all those bodies, and DH and I may not be able to stay long. Then add that my nephew has decided that God is a fairytale he and his wife to be will not push on their little girl, and he is mad at his sister who told my DD2 who promptly called him. Stress is in the air. Prayer appreciated!

I am sorry I have been so quiet lately. DD2's visit was wonderful. Then it was resting from that and doctor appointments. My new ENT wants to retest my allergies and start me on shots again. Not sure I am liking that. He says the tests show no fluid in my sinuses. I really like this new doctor, but I have to wonder where the fluid is that sloshes around in my head then. We will see how the shots go.
I am trying to make some adjustments to some things and get going strong here again. Hope you all are having a blessed day! Hugs. Darlene

Finally, a chance to try and catch up. Things have been happening both in family and church. We have had a death in the church, hospitalizations of two members and another at Hospice. I have been busy with various activities related to the above. I am doing what I can for whoever I can whenever and wherever it is needed.
My family in Maine has been going through a crisis of sorts and is in a quandary because Social Security is holding my father's check hostage. the social worker at the Veterans Home and a lawyer are doing what they can to get everything straightened out. Meanwhile, money is very tight.
We just finished a series of Revival services at the church. Powerful preaching and surprising attendance. Without consulting the Pastor, the Evangelist brought messages that emphasized the same theme that our Pastor has been preaching on lately

It's a busy week here. DH's surgery went well, but he will be off the leg for 6 weeks instead of 2. He has physical therapy every morning this week, and MWF after that. I have to drive him every where for at least two weeks. I am getting my steps in running up and down the stairs to take care of him. He cannot go up our stairs on crutches so he sleeps in the family room. My dog logs it because he gets to sleep on our bed with me. Have a great day everyone.

I have an ENT appointment today. Hopefully they can do something about my sinus, throat and ringing ear issues. Tomorrow should be back to normal life. I hope to catch up on things here later tonight. Have a blessed day!

We're getting ready for DH's surgery on Monday. He is having the second surgery on his left knee from his accident in April. Hopefully everything will go well and he will be walking again in about two weeks, and not 6 weeks. I'm hoping to be able to get my workouts in while he's recovering, and I'm running him every where he needs to be. Have a great weekend everyone.
