Setting an audacious mileage goal helped me push myself farther than I have ever run in any month prior to Sept 2012.

At this point i Just want to say THANK YOU! Thanks to all of you for being my inspiration during the month of September. My goal for the month was to wak/jog/run 45 miles but I surpassed that and did 77 miles... Who would have thought.... Restored_me, Candigirl, and crissa... Ya'll are the best! Look out for my upcoming blog post so i can tell all of my BGR sisters about my progress and goals thus far!

Yes ladies, we really kicked it in Sept!! Thanks for the shout-out, I am really working hard and I am loving this team.

My 2 cents is........set a goal, whatever goal. Gonna walk 30 min/3x week or I'm gonna drop soda for the week/month(soda is poison you should drop it forever...I'm just saying ;) or I'm gonna walk 5 min and run for 1 or I'm gonna faithfully track my food so I KNOW what is going in my mouth or I'm gonna read food labels on everything I buy and anything POISON I won't buy. Pick one..
Point is...set a goal, a realistic goal and do what you need to do to reach that goal. A measurable goal. If we don't have something to reach for, how can we press ourselves to strive forward.

This months goal of 70 miles was ambitious, I thought..but I got it and even bonus miles and I'm only the better for it. Had I not reached the goal would I be a complete failure...NO WAY...because 10 miles or 20 miles or 50 miles is better than ZERO miles and I would still be better for it!! So set a goal and work toward it!!

The log hot days of summer are about over. Our run fest/run event season is upon us. It's time to pick up on the training.

Yeah, cause I'm wondering how you awesome ladies were taking those miles down! I checked the board and you all are doing a wonderful job! Also wanted to shout out Crissa1669 with the love and support and the comment of get out there wog, jog, or slog---love it! My little 2-cents would be try to sign up for some 5k's--October and November seemed to be filled with opportunities to boost the miles and help others. I'm thinking of trying one.
