Girl, I completely understand! I still do that when I am forging a new route and I start feeling like I'm ready to tap out. It really does help the distance seem more reasonable or attainable.... its a mental thing, but it works.

Being that I'm a beginner, my mind is focused on a particular landmark (a house, block, light pole etc.) that I've set to reach, and will mentally zone out until I reach the destination all the while telling myself that I can't stop until I'm there.

Faith WITHOUT works, is DEAD!
