Geezie-Peezie---
I think maybe we all need to be put in a sack and shaken and dumped out to see who comes out first!

You know---I have a saying I'd like to share with you all! If you are anything like me; there are times when you THINK you understand something you have heard or something someone said. But, you just don't know! Here goes---

Before you
assume,
Try Asking.
-Quotes life 101.net-
Good, isn't it?

Nellie all the good luck in the world on your testing today! My heart and prayers are with you!

Sarah, I sure hope you are feeling better soon! Having the virus is sure the pits! When you get to feeling better; don't push yourself too fast! Right! Prayers coming your way.

Suz, what kind of pill are you talking about? That's a new one for me. Hope you are better also, prayers.

Finally, it was in today's paper. His viewing and funeral is Wednesday at the Church we came from! A very small Church. At least it was when we left.

We are to get rain this afternoon, turning to snow this evening. Very possibility slick roads tomorrow morning???

Maybe I'll get to Richmond either late this a.m. or early afternoon. We'll see!

It's about Lexie's breakfast time. First, she and I will weigh. The first of the week; I record her weight. I monitor it very close. She stayes between 12#-12.5#.

See you later! I hope when I get back on here, you all are feeling better.

Hugs to All,
Janet

Tomorrow I am going to have an endoscopic ultrasound for a stomach tumor I have to see if it is the same size or bigger. If it is bigger then I will have to have surgery sometime soon (and the surgeon will not be happy since doing surgery on me is difficult).

Anyway, between the traveling there, and the test, and then traveling back I will be gone most of the day. At least my oldest daughter is doing the driving.

Well it's a good thing I didn't have to do that transport today cause I'm not up to going out...... it's 50 here today and the wind is just horrible! but I'm having issues with vertigo for some reason?

I was messing with my Acer tablet last night and started getting what is like when I get motion sick..... enough that I was sick to my stomach...... so I went to bed but it's like things are spinning..... only I'm not drinking........ I got up today and was feeling a little better but still felt off kilter......... and I messed with the tablet again and now it's worse....... my head is a little stuffed up and I did feel better after I laid on the recliner with a heating pad on the back of my head and neck...... but I'm glad I didn't have to try to drive today!!!!

I thought about taking some Dramamine but I couldn't find any........ thought sure I had some here......

I will get motion sick at times riding in the car...... and forget about carnival rides and so forth... and because of being motion sick I got sick when the plane was landing in Ohio that time...... that whole free falling feeling and I'm done! but just sitting in my house it hasn't happened before...... I'm wondering if the scrolling motion of those icons on the tablet is triggering it?

Anyway I'm not doing much today ......

Home from Brunch. While we were waiting for hubby to get home from Church [2nd service] Lexie and I took a nap. She then hid under a chair to try to keep me from going away. Didn't work, though! LOL!

Now it's time for a cup of coffee and a nap; before anything else.

Catch you later!..................................

Where are you girls? I am home from Church; and, have fed Lexie and let her out!

When hubby gets through 2 nd. service, we will go out for brunch! I would like to take pics. of Lexie in her Thanksgiving dress and then her fur coat. Then, the rest of the day is up for grabs.

There was nothing in either paper this morning. And, it happened Friday. Some people that knew him already knew. His wife isn't in very good health herself! They live on her family farm. They raise and board horses. Their two sons live in Ind.. They are in our kids age bracket. One boy graduated with DD2.

Hugs,
Janet

I lived in a trailer park for a number of years when I lived in Houston, TX. The trailer next to the one I was in burned because someone left some cooking unattended. However, none of the other trailers burned. A trailer does burn quickly, but if a person is attentive to fire safety, they should be OK.

awwwwwwww Janet so sorry to hear about your friend!! My brother almost died in a motorcycle accident..... we're lucky to have him...... my sympathy to you on the loss of your friend...

Hey everyone that posts on facebook...... in case you wondered why I put FOSTER for Tutu it's because all my family is on facebook! LOL I'm ONLY posting on facebook that she's only considered a FOSTER cause I don't want my family to know at this point that I'm even THINKING of keeping Tutu....... they'd probably have me committed to a mental institution!

PLUS why rile all of them up when she may come and it doesn't work out and I end up just fostering her? it isn't worth all the arguing and stuff until I've actually adopted her... LOL

I got an email that I'm not doing the dog transport tomorrow..... the person that would have given me the dogs in Hagerstown said they were going to Harrisburg anyway so they are driving straight through......... so I'm off the hook tomorrow.......

I picked up the professional photos of the kids and I...... and I was on my way home after I stopped to show them to Becca's Mom and thought something was missing? I was certain I ordered a Christmas ornament but there wasn't any ornament in the package? So as soon as I got home I looked up my order and yes I paid for a Christmas ornament! So I sent them an email and they apologized and said they checked on it and it's being fedex directly to me on Monday..... the photos are beautiful though........ and I love the Christmas cards since I spent over whatever amount it was they included free photo bookmarks with my order..... of course I scanned the photos into my computer and now I can print out as many copies of the photos that I want......... I'm not paying their prices for duplicates! sorry I just couldn't afford it! I need to find a frame I like for our family photo now so I can hang it up.......

My sister is shook up over the trailer that burned down last night not that far from her trailer..... now she says she's afraid of staying there........... oh good grief!!!!! Mom said she called her crying on the phone and all upset that her trailer may burn up now...... well she's the one that picked trailer spot #13!!!!!!

It's happened again! A man in my age bracket got killed yesterday in In. on his motorcycle! He ran an intersection and hit the left front fender of a car. He lived with in 3 mile of us. He is married to a high school class-mate of mine!

I knew him in school; also they went to the same Church we did before we started where we are. He was an Elder in the Church. He was a trim man with snow white hair. We are losing so many people in our and our kids age bracket.

I am ready for bed; and, will soon turn in! Night all!

Hugs,
Janet

Sarah the Christmas in the South sounds really fun!!! if that doesn't get you in the holiday spirit maybe when you get snow next week it will? NOW they are saying the snow is going to stay more west and dip way south!!!! Atlanta predicted to have snow!! LOLOLOLOL good for you!!! why should us up North be the only ones miserable in winter!!! LOLOLOLOL
IF the new forecast is correct....... and it probably isn't...... the snow may stay too far west to hit me here this time! woo hooo!!!

Janet it's good to hear from you!! I can only sympathize with you because computer problems SUCK!!!!!! I hated I didn't have my computer!! the laptop I ordered isn't due to get here until the 15th....... I've had trouble with this one freezing up and I have to keep restarting it....... not a good sign....... I am backing stuff up every night yet! I am NOT losing any more photos!!!!!!!!

I just now found out that the professional photos are at Bark Central for me to go pick them up! I didn't get an "email" telling me........ I didn't get a "phone call" letting me know..... I found out just because I went onto the photographers website and checked "status"..... honestly you'd think they could at least email and let you know your pictures are ready!!! so now I need to get ready to run over to pick them up! I want to get the family photo I ordered hung up in the living room! I also can't wait to see the Christmas cards!!!!!!!!

Update on Tutu.......... well I heard from her foster Mom, Janice this morning by email...... she said she is going to try and bring her over on either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.... that seems so far away now! but I'll have time to get things ready for her arrival...... I have the extra crate in my bedroom so I'll bring it out in the hall with Emily's crate.... I'll get her dish ready for her meals..... I'll try to pick up some of the kids toys but by then they'll have them all over the house again! LOL I'll vacuum and steam the kitchen floor again to get up doggie smells.......

I can't change Tutu's name as long as I am her "foster Mom"..... but if I keep her I may try to find something similar .... Tootsie? I dunno......... I can't think right now of other girly dog names I like! since I wasn't planning on having another girly dog right now...... wondering if she'd go by Izzy? I know it's not close to Tutu...... but I like Izzy better........ LOL

I got the rest of the wooden name pictures frames in the mail yesterday that I ordered back in October at applefest downtown.... Scruffy, Peanut and Muffin's frames........ now I need new ink cartridges so I can print out photos for the frames and can put them together........ Scruffy, Peanut and Emily will be in 1 frame...... Indy, Winston and Muffin will be in the other frame....... I think they will be so adorable!

I downloaded Adobe Photoshop program I got that comes with the new laptop (ok I put it on my home computer but hope I can still load it on the laptop too)..... and I've been using it to take "red eye" out of all the doggie photos I have....... and it's a LOT of them! I didn't have a program I could use anymore with windows 7 to get red eye out....... so I'm excited over editing photos..... plus it has that you can cut and move images in the photo..... say 1 photo has the dog looking happy and right at you....... but no one else is looking the right way...... then another photo everyone else is looking ok but that 1 dog...... you can edit the dog and move it over to the other photo to make 1 good picture! cool huh!! so much easier than taking 100 photos and hoping to get that 1 that's good! LOL can't wait to use this feature too!

So if anyone has a photo they'd like red eye removed or something email it to me and I'll see what I can do to fix it and email it back to you!!!!!!!!

well I need to get ready to go out........ I have a bit of a stuffed up head or sinus something going on and really want to go back to bed..... it's a whopping 41 degrees out there and so windy again....... leaves just raining down........ I'll be glad when this is over with for the winter..... they're a mess! in the south do you lose leaves in winter??? just wondering?

take care everyone

Suz

Hey Girls---how's it going???

I got the okay to use the computer!!! WooHoo! However, after Thanksgiving I will be off-line again. Will have to take it to the 'geeks'. He needs to straighten the server out. Something is messed up. Then, another appt. for him to come here and fix the other problems. The hook-ups here is lousy! All this at $65 a hour!!! It's getting very tiring!

What have you all been up too?

I am at the point that I am having to make some life changes. Believe me, that is hard. Plus, I don't know what's down the 'road'.

OMG...I am so so so so sooooo excited for you Suz. I just can't wait to meet your new yorkies. Can you rename her? Will you rename her if you can? I am so glad she will be able to wear the clothes you already have there.....and Em will have a sister now. Lily and Willow are sisters....Willow is whining at me right now..wants my attention...she is so spoiled.

I have not been home all day...woke up a bit early and got ready to leave...went to Macon (about 30 minutes away) to the Goodwill there....didn't find anything there....then went and got my hair done....then drove home and ate a sandwich and then went to pick up my dad so we could get groceries. Now I am broke. But I used my coupons and did ok with shopping...all healthy foods. I got my dad to buy some pumpkin pies for thanksgiving for me...I still need to buy a turkey and other food but the money is not there yet. Gonna have to scrimp somehow.

Anyway....Suz I hope all your babies get along. I used to have four dogs and it was so awesome. I look back and wonder how I did it..I had four dogs and three ferrets. Whew! These two girls are full time for me....very spoiled and Willow is so demanding. To be only 2 pounds she sure is bossy. Ha.

Tomorrow I am going with my sister in law to Christmas in the south which is a bunch of arts and craft folk all with christmas wares for sale etc. I told my sis in law that I am broke but she wants to go look....maybe it will get me in the Christmas spirit.

OK...hope you all have a great night....I am off to see your new baby Suz.....

OK LADIES.......... I'm getting another Yorkie!!!!! LOL

This just happened in a matter of a couple hours......... LOL

I got an email a little while ago from the Rescue Me yorkie Rescue where I used to foster ( yes Jen, the NUTZO woman that I have problems with fostering) she said that she wanted to know if I'd help her again and foster a little girl, she's 8 years old ( same age as Emily) and weighs 8 lbs..... and she was a breeding dog like Emily ....... but she has a big issue with men! They adopted her to a couple and it just wouldn't work out because she's terrified of men ( she was apparently abused by men and now she's scared).... so they took her back..... the only person she had available to foster is married and the dog isn't getting along with him either...... now the foster parents are going away and the father-in-law is going to be taking care of her dogs and it won't work for her to stay there........ so she is asking me if I'd take over........ and she said IF I decide I'd want to keep her........ I don't have to pay the $400 adoption fee they are asking for her......... oh good grief!!!!!!!!

You know I've been wondering if I'd be able to have a 4th dog......... and have another smaller girl Yorkie......... but I'm afraid of how it would work or "not" work? if she is a former puppy mill dog she may be a perfect fit with Emily...... they could support each other........ however this way I can "try" it and if it doesn't work they can just keep looking for a family to adopt her!!!

So I just talked to the woman that is fostering her now and she's really excited..... I know her from the rescue...... and she lives about 45 mins from me and is going to talk to her friend and husband to see how soon they can bring her over.......... until I "would" adopt her the rescue will pay any of her expenses...... she said she thinks this will be a perfect place for Tutu...... so I'm nervous but excited too!!!!!!!!

The only picture I was able to see of her so far is a stupid Halloween photo of her dressed up like BATMAN!!!!!! awwwwww come on.......... but she is also going to be able to wear all the smaller clothes now that were Muffin's and the ones Emily had from last year that are too small now! she really needs to lose that 5 lbs!!!!! Her foster Mom is going to send me some new pictures of her...... of course I'll take a million pictures too!

you can go here to look at her photo......

Oh you poor people that live where it snows.... feel so bad for you. I love the fact that it hardly ever snows here. If it does snow everyone closes up everything and attacks the grocery stores like they will be snowed in forever...and no one here can drive in snow..they are all idiots when it snows on the roads.
It sounds like you got everything ready for the bad weather tho.
I have to get all my plants in this weekend.

I guess we are going to Christmas in the south..my sister in law texted me back and we are going Sat afternoon.

Suz..I can't wait till you get your new computer either..you will have to tell me all about it. I am happy for you.

My pain level is up tonight...not sure why. It is not fun to hurt like this all the time. I get so weary. Anyway..I am going to go take a bath and then take some muscle relaxers so I can sleep. I want to get up early enough to hit goodwill before my hair appt. at noon...but we shall see. Any time I need to get up early I don't sleep well. I know it is psychological but I can't seem to stop it.

Warm baths usually help my pain some.

Hugs,
Sarah

Well other than really sore knees I survived my day yesterday...... I even managed this afternoon to get dressed and take that check to the bank, go to Petsmart and get the dog's food, and buy gas FOR THE SNOWBLOWER!!! Have you seen the weather they are predicting for next week? SNOW!!!!!! I'm really upset!!!!!

I took the gas to the shed and filled up the snowblower...... dug out the snow shovels for on the porch so they are close to get to them....... there are as many leaves on the ground today as there was yesterday before I mowed...... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr but I need those leaves off before it snows or there will be branches falling off again!

I picked at leftovers for dinner....... had some yogurt with banana....... I didn't feel like a whole lot tonight.....

Dogs played with the 2 new toys they got from petsmart..... some lady was looking at wellness and I asked if she needed help that it's what I feed my dogs and it's really good food.... she said no she has bought it before but gets weight management but it wasn't one of the ones on sale and she was planning to get CORE which was on sale instead.... then I showed her my coupons and told her how to get some.... so she said she was going to sign up for them too..... LOL

My doctor's appt. is next Wednesday when we're to start getting that snow....... so I'm probably the reason! LOL it's been so long since I saw a doctor it's snowing! LOL

Thanks for letting me know Sarah that Janet got the patterns....... sorry to hear she's having computer problems...... my new lap top should be coming soon...... I'm glad I can get it on QVC's easy pay..... you don't have to pay all at once.... the software for it came today so computer should be close behind!

Well another day that I slept all day....went from bed to the sofa and dozed till about 3pm...finally made myself get up and dress so I could take the yorkies for a walk. I drove to the next neighborhood where they are building houses....lots of trees and not much traffic. My neighborhood has all these kids that love to pet and play with my yorkies so they don't get their walk in if I walk here after school is out. Anyway...we had a nice walk...they came home and took a nap.

It was pretty here today too...chilly wind but sunshine and warmth for the most part till the sun went down. Nice!
When Chris was here we trimmed my bushes and piled the limbs by the road. I was surprised that the trash guys picked them up but happy I did not have to pay extra for that. I cut my Crepe Myrtle way back. So my yard is winter ready but not my houseplants. I have pansies on the front porch in window boxes and hanging baskets so they are done for winter...but my houseplants are still on the back porch and I need to find a place to put them all. I have brought in only about 4 so far. More to go.

Suz...sounds like you are all winterized too.
Keep the winner dog for me... I really miss having one. I have always had one and this is the first time I haven't. One of my neighbors has 2 and another neighbor has a tiny miniature one. I love them....but yorkies are my true favorite. I would NOT turn way a wiener dog tho but can't afford to have another dog..plus all the travel i do..another dog is NOT an option. But I can dream.

Tomorrow I go get my hair done and am going to try to get up early to go to Goodwill up there first...then get roots done and then come home and take my dad to the commissary.
Saturday is Christmas in the south but I really do not have any money to go so I may not go. I would do better to go to Hobby lobby and find something. I need a wreath for my front door...but it is not a priority. I paid off my propane bill so there is no extra this month. Plus I have a cracked tooth that will cost a ton to have fixed. Thankfullly I can put it off as it doesn't hurt.

Yep Suz..things are getting busy for you again. The holidays are upon us and it seems to get crazy this time of year. I am NOT shopping and refuse to go out in all the crowds to buy things during the holidays. Chris and I are sharing the expense to get Bentley (my grandson) a power wheel truck. Then I will get Madi something....and be done. I hate buying gifts and will NOT buy any more-only grandkids. I like to focus on Jesus Chris my savior during this season and not run around like a chicken with my head cut off like everyone else does during the holidays.

Suz..I talked to Janet. She got the pattern yesterday and thanks you. She is having computer issues again but is ok. She is reading our posts but can't post right now.

Hugs,
sarah

ohhhhhhh I sooooooooooooo over did it today and I'm going to pay badly for it!!!!!!!!! Let me start by saying it was a glorious day here in south central Pennsylvania!! It was 66 degrees and very sunny........ maybe a light breeze........ just gorgeous!!

I decided if it got to 60 I was going to mow the lawn for the last time......... so I did..... and I had the trimming to do since it's the last I plan to mow....... I also had to mow in a way to pile the leaves up or in front I mowed to blow them along the curb for pick up........ THEN I had to rearrange stuff in my shed..... so I put the tractor in the back, the push mower and then front and center is the snow blower "almost" ready to go....... the gas tank on everything is empty! and so is my can....... darn it I have to go get gas for everything!

Then the walking started..... I got the boys first and we took our long walk...... came back and got Emily and we took our long walk........ then I put the rest of the stuff away for summer....... I found my extra long bungee to put on the air conditioner cover! woo hoo!!! all the chair cushions put away...... the power washer....... the grill........ I cut off the dead flowers...... put them in the trash can........ I put up a Christmas wreath on the gate ... the Christmas flag out front........ and the poinsettia on the front porch....... oh I took the pumpkins and ghosts off the all season tree on the porch and put them away........ I got the broom and swept the porches and walks......... I finally came in doors it was getting dark and realized I hadn't had anything to eat all day and it was 5 pm!!! I made my home made mac and cheese ( hand grated the block of cheese)........ and had the ham slice and green beans..... big dinner for me! and I did all the dishes...........

I'm sneezing a lot tonight from the dust and grass stirred up when I mowed..... I need to take my allegra and take a hot shower to get the dust and grass off of me...... but I am already starting to get stiff.... tomorrow I will be miserable....... Friday I get 'Becca again.......

I signed up to do another dog transport on Sunday...... I'm driving 2 collies and a dachshund from Hagerstown, MD to Harrisburg again........ 1 a border collie is 50 lbs a 5 yr old girl named Judy..... the other is a collie mix, named Cola and is a puppy! 13 months old and is already 38.5 lbs! ......... the dachshund is Allie..... 3 years old and 15 lbs....... at first they had 6 animals listed and I decided I would not volunteer that is too much for me to handle on my own! but now it's just 3 and they have the legs before and after me filled so hopefully I won't get stuck driving any extra distance this time!!!

Then Monday I'm taking photos at the animal shelter of people with their dogs and our shelter "mascot" Rex! from noon to 3 pm........ and I need to make a batch of mini cupcakes!

Then Wednesday is my doctor's appt.... soooooooo things are getting busy again!

Well I'm going to take my shower.......... I'm soooooooooooo tired.........

I feel much better today...thanks for the well wishes tho...it was just some stomach thing. Fatigue is better today too...was able to take the yorkies for two walks...woo hoo!!! It was a beautiful day out today..sunshine and almost springlike....but now it is colder as night is here.

I am so excited to be able to save money on Wellness....I appreciate the coupons.

Suz your crock pot chicken sounds good..thanks for sharing the recipe!!
I made biscuits and fried some ham and had ham and cheese biscuits for supper. It was good.

My brother is a firefighter in town here. He is a lieutenant and going to school to become Chief.
He also works handyman type jobs. I never see him/

I got my house cleaned up some today and laundry done. Willow peed on the bed...I was playing a computer game and wasn't paying her any attention and she had to potty....
now she is bugging the stew out of me for a treat and I already gave her one. I bet Lily stole it. She is bad about that. They play bone war with each other and growl if one gets too close to the other when they have a treat.

Pain level is up a bit tonight...had to take the extra meds...but I am due a new patch tonight.
I did not take my mom out today...she didn't feel up to it. I am glad in a way since I felt bad yesterday and did not get anything done.
I need to move my plants indoors soon before it gets much colder. I have brought in a couple so far.

Sux..I enjoy days where I don't get dressed and just putter around the house all day. But most days I at least put on some leggings and a top so I can walk the dogs.

I get my hair done Friday and then there is "Christmas in the South" on the weekend. I am going probably alone since my sister in law has not answered my text. Her loss. I don't mind doing things like that alone. I don't have money but it will be fun to walk around and I have a dollar off coupon.

OK guys....check in and let me know what is new.....

Sorry you're not feeling well Sarah...... puppy kisses always help!

No problem about the coupons...... hey if we can help each other save a little money here and there I don't mind sharing how ..... and really with it on sale and coupons it makes this high quality food a really affordable one as well......

I never got dressed today...... I moved some things around again..... LOL and I made myself a "crock pot" BBQ chicken dinner with baked potato and it was so delicious! first I ever tried it!

I used recipe I got on facebook! I actually combined 2 chicken recipes but you can change it how you want..... I used those chicken breast strips........ I had 6 pieces...... I put salt and pepper on them and then wrapped a piece of that already cooked bacon around each piece...... put them in the bottom of the crock pot ( I have a really small individual size crock pot)...... then you put a half cup bottled BBQ sauce in a bowl and chop up a small apple and mix it in the BBQ sauce then pour that over the chicken in the crock pot........ put a piece of foil over top that....... then take a baking potato wrap it in foil and put it on top ....... they also called for wrapping a corn on the cob in foil and putting it on top of the potatoes but mine is too small for that and I didn't have any of those mini corn on the cobs anyway...... I barely got my potato to fit!!! turn it on high and just let it cook all day............. tonight I took the potato out and it was soooooo yummie........ and the chicken was delicious in the bottom ..... you could just cut it with your fork!!

Now if you were going to sunday school........ or church you could do that and have it after you got home....... prepare it the night before and keep it in the fridge ...... put it on in the morning when you get up!! you'd have to have a bigger crock pot to feed more than 1 person than I got! LOL but it's a whole meal in the crock pot!!

It's also a very cheap meal! I have enough of the chicken left over for a 2nd meal! why didn't I know about this when I worked? LOL the original recipe didn't call for the bacon or apple........ that's what I got from the 2nd recipe.....

Tomorrow I'm having a large baked sweet potato with one of those individual little ham slices and some sweet peas.....and Thursday probably having home made baked mac and cheese but not sure what meat yet......... I'm getting hungry for my Richard Simmons stuffed pork chops though...... Friday I'm to get 'Becca again........

Wow on the scanner I think they've called out every piece of fire apparatus in the area.... I think they said there is a house fire but they are saying on south 2nd and south 3rd streets... houses are really close together there I can imagine if there is a house fire it could spread really quickly..... and it's 12:30 here so I'd imagine people are in bed....... well some people are....... LOL

Well now that I've made everyone hungry ...... I'll sign off for the night....... LOL

Suz

LOL Sarah!!!! fuel oil......... not gas! I'll probably get 200 gallon of fuel oil and it will run me $600+ ....... but it SHOULD last me until February! I supplement my oil heat with my electric heaters..... my faux fireplace has my electric insert....... with the faux flames...... really pretty in my livingroom.......... I run that at night when I'm here watching TV........ then when I go to bed at night I have an electric heater in there with a thermostat so I can set it at the temp I want and it doesn't just keep running......... I turn the furnace back to about 67 or 68... then heat the rooms I'm in with my electric heaters...... I really don't try to heat the entire house all the time.... and usually I'm good with fuel oil until February and by then I get my tax refund and refill the tank again........

I'm terrified of GAS!! I won't even use a gas grill!!!!!! so many places have blown up.... in fact one here in town blew up and killed the people....... I was selected for the jury when the relatives sued the gas company....... I was already to scream GUILTY!!!!! PAY UP!!!!!! and they settled with the family before it went to trial and I got cheated!!!! LOL

I will sit here and cover up with a heated throw while I watch tv if it's too cold outside...... my sisters trailer is total electric and I envy that..... she never has to mess with ordering "liquid gold".... and it's a monthly expense.....

plus I have 3 very warm doggies to snuggle with! it's amazing how warm their bellies are when we snuggle...... LOLOL

Suz

oh and PetsMart is about a mile or so from me....... very close and I go there to get their food! I usually have an extra coupon from Wellness to get a discount on top of the sale price though!!!! did you sign up for those?????

Suz is there a Petsmart near you? They have dog food on sale right now. I am going to go buy some. My yorkies are on Wellness small breed.
I totally agree that I hate it getting dark so early. The yorkies and I were on a schedule to walk around 6:30 right when things cooled off for the day...now it is dark so early we have to figure out another routine.
I was able to pay off my propane gas bill...so now I can burn my fireplace without feeling guilty. I hate to use the gas if it isn't paid for yet. we shall see how long I can stretch it.
I filled up my car today and took a photo of the price I paid....$2.97 per gallon. I was amazed.
Chris ordered a new battery for my mower but it is on backorder so I am not sure when it will come in.
What do you mean your gas bill will be over $600 this month? Wowie zowie. Way too high. I have electric heat but I add gas fireplace heat when there is a chill that I can't get rid of or it is really cold and I can't get warm. I do not like central electric heat..it dries out my skin and nose and really doesn't warm me as well as gas. I paid almost $200 for a tank of propane for my fireplace and that should last me 2-3 or more months depending on how much I use it. My electric bill is not that high in the winter....

Have I told you guys about the farm game I am now officially addicted to? it is called Hay Day and is for Mac users only at this time. People from all over the world play it. We have a farm and grow crops, make items and sell them and buy other items. We have a huge ship come in and we have to fill the empty boxes with what it is they want it filled with and have to figure out how to get enough of it. We get points and can decorate our farm. I really love it. It is quite time consuming tho. But fun! My kids are teasing me calling me farmer.

Well guys...I am gonna lie down a bit...
hugs,
Sarah

Well I'm back home......... I HATE that's it's totally dark at 5:30!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not a happy camper!!!!!!!

I managed to put the sump pump hose away.... the cover on the air conditioner but I couldn't find my large bungee cord to hold it on.......

I signed the paper at the doctor's office for them to get my records......... and.......... AND I went to the post office!!!!! Janice you should get the patterns on Thursday!!!! I hate our post office the parking lot is very small and cramped and it's an accident waiting to happen when you go there.......... thankfully it wasn't that busy today......... paid my utility bill....... and I even got to eat at our brand new McDonalds!! it's really nice.......... then got my groceries......... however, I forgot to take the check along to take it to the bank........ DARN IT! and I didn't get by the fuel oil place to order my oil.......and I didn't get my months supply of dog food and treats yet........ sooooooooo that means another trip out of the house!!

I also still have the yard to mow but the leaves are falling like huge snow flakes now! I have to find my large bungee cord for the air conditioning unit since it wasn't where it should have been......... *sighs* so much to do!!!!!!!!!!!

THEN I get home and there are 2 emails from the shelter...... they want me to go to the PetsMart adoption event on Sunday the 17th....... I'm taking doggie photos on the 11th from noon to 3 at the shelter......... AND they asked if I'd make some REFRESHMENTS for the 11th!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!!! see that sort of thing isn't in my budget right now either...... I'm probably going to be spending $600 or more on fuel oil this month.... and the dogs are being groomed the 27th..... and that will probably be $200........... I do have some "store bought" shortbread cookies they can have them...... but as far as baking goes it isn't happening!!

I am proud of myself for getting some of the things done today I needed done and actually leaving my house! LOL

Hope everyone else had a good day!

Suz

Janice I put a note in with the patterns that explains how I make them....... and there is a photo of one I made and then Peanut modeling it! LOL

Suz..glad you got some things accomplished around the house. I am so happy to be getting those potty pads...i just can't figure out why i didn't think of it before this. hmm...brain fog. But that will save me tons of money as we use them all the time. Lily was trained that way and Willow uses them at night when she gets up in the middle of the night to go potty. I don't take them out then as my alarm system is on and it is cold.

Janet....I forgot what I wanted to say to you...boy the fog is bad today. I have a slight headache. Not good. I will focus elsewhere and maybe it will come to me.

I walked the dogs around the block here and then took them with me when I went to my moms. She had to go potty and it takes her forever so I took them for a long walk in the neighborhood there. Then we came back and I helped mom with some things she wanted done. Willow ate something on the floor..that is why i don't usually take them..mom is blind and drops food all over and other things. Not sure what willow ate but she vomited when I got home. Not good.
Anyway..we are home now and they are crashed beside me on the sofa. I wore them out..he he!

Tomorrow is a rest day for me. I need to do some things around the house. I really need to get into my office and get things started organizing....it is all such a disaster. My son Chris got his house and soon he will be taking all his stuff over there....he has stuff in the guest room....in the office and a lot in my garage...so I will have a lot more room for "my stuff"!! I will do most of my organizing after he gets all his stuff out. But I need to start some small projects.

My yorkies do not watch tv but if the doorbell rings on tv they bark thinking it is mine. It is so funny..when I was in the apartment Lily learned that when someone knocked they were at the door....but she learned really fast that the doorbell means someone at the door here. Willow picked it up pretty quickly too.

I am having fatigue issues again. I am just so so tired....I sleep all night off and on and then till noon or later the next day. Not sure what is going on. I am afraid that my radioactive iodine treatment did not work. The doctor sent me a letter saying it hasn't so far and he is giving it a bit more time. With my luck i will have to repeat it...that means a huge hassle...a lot more expense again....and the yorkies at the kennel. Money I do not have.

I have a cracked tooth and I have two fillings in that tooth so I know I need a crown and probably a root canal. More money. Plus the dogs are out of their flea stuff and need heart worm stuff too. More money. Add Christmas.....I am sinking.

Janet...I will let you know if I remember what I wanted to tell you...it wasn't important..just a comment on something you wrote I think. Oh well.

I don't watch much TV other than the 5 o' clock news, so my pets don't have much to watch. However, many years ago I had a cat that was fascinated by the pointer a weather reporter had and she would try to catch the pointer.

Good Morning, Girls!

Up; have had a couple cups of coffee! Laundry's in the washer. Hubby's clothes are in now. Then mine, then towels! That's the routine.

Thanks, Suz---I was just wondering. With our haphazard mail service, you just never know! I don't know what their problem is. Sometimes our mail is delivered at 9 a.m. and then sometimes not until 4 p.m.. Oh well! Nothing I can do about it!

Would you believe it, only with two dogs could I have used them! I guess I have been very lucky! Both of them were with elderly dogs! But you never know! After all; Lexie is 10 years old!

After I got home and DS was here I didn't get anything done either. It seems that is the story of my life anymore. I try to tell myself; maybe I am to use that time to spend thinking on God things. You think?

Lexie has the tendency to at times watch TV. And, it is generally to watch animals.

Nellie---have you had babes to watch Tv; and what do they watch?

I feel the need to go somewhere today; not sure where! Have you all ever been that way? What did you do?

Nellie---so glad you made it to Church and felt the love of your friend there! I just know you are a 'light' in their journey. You know the saying, "What goes around, comes around". You will reap the rewards! I know myself, there are times I just want to cover my head and stay in bed on Sundays and other days. Unless I have a fever or vomiting, I don't feel any worse if I make myself go. Usually better! And, I would not be driving and go to sleep, either!

So, on with my day!

Have a 'good' one!......................

"All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purpose."

you're welcome Sarah! I've TRIED to talk my sister who struggles with money and my Mom to change to these instead of the disposable ones but for some reason they don't ...... my sister said how expensive the reusable ones are BUT you aren't throwing them away! You wash and reuse them! the price of disposable ones will pay for these over a short time.... like I said I've been using some of these since I was doing fostering for the yorkie rescue .... that's been years and years ago!! so they've certainly lasted!

I think fewer dogs would be returned to shelters if they shared information about these reusable pad and doggie diapers and belly bands...... if people would just use these things until dogs get used to your home and routines....... and it gives me security if I have to take my dog into PetsMart or someone else's house.......

and no Janet I haven't forgotten about the belly band pattern..... LOL I just haven't gotten to mailing them yet...... I'm so sorry........ but yes things have been so hectic here and I got really behind when I kept the girls....... I still have 2 packages I've wanted to mail since August! no seriously they are in my car to take to the post office......

Emily watched TV tonight!!!! we were on the recliner when a show on Natl Geo about dogs came on..... and her head came up... her head tilted and she laid there watching TV! I was so proud of her!!! LOL She's becoming a TV addict like her Mommy!!!!!!!!! LOL usually though she does get really upset if she hears puppies crying or making noises on TV or the computer if I play a video....... then it upsets me cause I know she misses all her puppies :(

I didn't do much today....... I did a load of laundry.... dishes....... took out the trash...... talked to my Mom on the phone......... I had thought of going to the new McDonald's...... I didn't........ I thought of ordering my fav thin crust mushroom onion pizza...... I didn't...... LOL

oh well there's always tomorrow! I need to get to the new doctor's office to get that paper and sign so they can get my medical records... my appointment is the 13th....... I need to run my utility payment to the boro.......... I need to get those groceries I want........ yes I should run past the post office......... LOL

Thank you Suz..I ordered 6 new potty pads in a larger size that I liked off ebay. I wonder why I never thought if this in the first place??? Hmm! I even had some pads I used for my husband that would have worked that I gave away. Bummer.
What a great budget helper this will be. Woo hoo!

Nellie..so glad you were able to get out to church. I know you are missing Patience so so much. My heart is so sad for you...but I know you have lots of happy memories of her. I lots my Daisy (the wiener dog) in Feb and then got Willow in March....just felt Lily was too sad and needed a friend. I am glad you got a hug from a friend!

I did nothing today but wash my hair. Just too tired. I am about to go to bed.....the yorkies are so funny..they have their routine and hate it when I don't cooperate. Around bedtime they start staring at me like "lets go mom"!

I got to church today. It had been a while since with the Daylight savings time, the church service was in the midst of my nap and I figured it wouldn't be a good idea for me to drive or even be driven and fall asleep in the service. The church used to have a service at 11 (their second service). Now that there are fewer people they only have one service at 10. Now that we are back to standard time, I can get waked up from my nap on time to get there.

A lot of people greeted me and seemed glad to see me. One asked after Patience and hugged me when I told her what happened. There was a baptism of a teenage girl, and of course, I cried like I always do for baptisms!

Suz...I understand how you are feeling....I am just not able to accomplish much today. My body wants to sit on the sofa and hurt. I hate that.
I did get the yorkies for their short walk. Tonight is my favorite night on tv..I love the show Walking Dead..it is filmed here In Georgia.I got to see the town where they film it and some of the vehicles they use. So cool to me. Yes I love zombies. Strange hunh?

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE some potty pads like that. I use disposable and never even thought about washable ones...I will have to see if I can find some. They get expensive.

I have my budget made out....getting my hair done next Friday. That is my only splurge this month.

I got my hair washed, dried and flat ironed. It takes me about 2 hours to do it all. Whew! I only do it all once a week. But i flat iron on special days.

This week I need to spend time with my mom and also take her out for some shopping she needs. Those are my plans....

DS just left. I get so tickled at him! When he's here he usually takes a nap! You can just hear him snoring away. He looks just like his Dad He;s not as heavy though!

No; Suz, I have never heard of those. Until the last year I had never heard of the bands you put napkins in, either! You girls are educating me!

Tomorrow starts another week. What do you all planned for this week?

We all know what I'll be doing bright and early tomorrow. Laundry!

Catch you all later!

I just don't want to go outside and I really need to get my butt moving!!! I'm COLD it's a high of 53 here today! I'm only getting "small" things done when I need to do BIG things!

I need to go get a few things I need at the grocery store..... I need to go buy my "months" supply of dog food ( I always do that the beginning of the month when I get my check)...
BIG things is I have GOT to mow this lawn one last time..... I have the hose from the sump pump to put away..... I have plants to put away and the air conditioner to cover.......

Tomorrow is trash day so I need to clean out the fridge and throw cash in the trash of all the stuff I haven't eaten........ and take the trash and recycling to the curb.........

Blaire came over with her school photo and her Mom also got me 2 boxes of puppy pick up bags at the 5 below store..... they had them on sale for 50 cents a box and there are 50 bags in a box! how nice of her to do that.....

One of the dogs left another "messy present" in the kitchen this morning..... thankfully most of it was on the reusable doggie pad...... so they are in the washer now....... do any of you have those? I got several when I was in the Yorkie rescue they are white ones and have the vinyl on the back of a quilted cotton top........ then I got 2 brown with black paw print ones at PetsMart....... they are sorta expensive but you aren't using them and throwing them away you are just washing and reusing them and they "look" a little nicer than the white ones I had..... my dogs just tore to pieces the disposable ones..... I used to put those on top of the reusable ones.... and because I had those underneath nothing leaked onto the floor..... but the dogs kept tearing those up so now I just use the cloth and vinyl ones...

I don't know how to make myself leave the house though..... LOL

Janet...for some reason I forgot you had a son. How old is he? He must be like me and enjoy living alone. I am ok unless I start thinking about being alone too hard.

It is chilly here today and it has been tough for me to move at all....I woke up and moved to the sofa and turned on the heated throw...then dozed for several more hours....woke up and got dressed as i was freezing when I got out from under the blanket. Now I have several things to do around the house plus take the yorkies for a walk.
My ankle is still hurting so I need to put on the ankle brace. I have forgotten how hard it is for me to get moving in the winter cold. My body just stiffens up all over even worse than ever and I just want to stay under covers and be warm. At least the sun is out today....Even the yorkies want under the covers these days. So funny.
Poor Willow is so small I know she freezes..her hair is way different than Lily's...hers is thinner so I know she gets cold easily. I have some sweaters for her to wear.

Janet..sounds like you had a nice time at church. your dinner sounds great. I need to get back to my eating plan...it got all messed up with son here....eating on the run. Now I find I want junk instead of my healthy good food.

What are you guys up to today?

Good Afternoon Girls!

Got home a bit ago from Church. After first service I had Sunday School Greeting. After S.S. started I came home to feed Lexie. We live 2 blocks away. After got that done, I went back to the Church. After hubby got set up for 2nd service we went down to the Family Life Center. The womens' and men's groups had a combined luncheon for a donation. We had grilled chicken; cheesy potatoes; green beans; dinner rolls, coffee, punch and desserts.

DS is coming up this afternoon for a spell. He doesn't honor us with his company very often. LOL! He's a single man about town!!!

It was so strange on halloween at my sons house..no one in their neighborhood had their lights on for Halloween...but we went to another subdivision with my DIL's friend and there were tons of people out socializing and having such fun. And people dressed up at the doors for the kids...it was so fun. I guess it just depends on the people. I have no idea about my own neighborhood as I have not been home on Halloween any here.

Suz...my computers before Apple Macbook were HP but I always ended up getting a virus on them...or something going wrong. I had them repaired often. It was aggravating but I liked the computers. Now tho I am a Macbook gal all the way. But they are very expensive. I am just blessed to have one...but now that I have it I will only want Apple computers as I have used it three years with NO problems...a first for me and so worth the money.
I have seen ads about windows 8 and thought I would really like that...especially the touch screen. So let me know how you like it ok? I am so happy you got a new computer....sounds like a good deal.

I bathed and blow dried the yorkies today...did their flea treatment and heart worm stuff. We are about to go for their walk.

Happy Saturday team!

My neighbor came over this morning with his lawn sweeper to pick up leaves again as part of our "bargain"..... swapped babysitting Blaire to have him clean up my leaves...... probably the best deal I ever made in my life! LOL I still have to mow one last time yet..........

I ordered the computer that is the special value on QVC today.... you can use it until the end of January and if you don't like it you can return it....... and it's on 6 easy payments instead of paying for the whole thing now....... 15.6 inch HP laptop...... I kept thinking I'd get one of the larger systems out there 8 gb ram and 1 tb harddrive....... but my pocketbook can't afford that.....I got the one that comes with MS office because I just have to have WORD and it has this other really cool adobe photo editing program I'm going to really love using...... this is a "touch screen" with windows 8.... and actually I'm intrigued and think I may decide I like it...... and this one you can turn off that pad thing at the front that I absolutely HATE in laptops...... so I'm to get it the 15th! I will sell my little dell purple "netbook" and put that towards my new computer if I am keeping it...... I was even thinking of a "surface" tablet but a laptop can do so much more than a tablet..... and they're cheaper........

Anyway, that's been about my day so far......... as far as Halloween candy goes..... I had bought a bag of 3 muskateers, milky way and peanut butter cups....... snack size........ then "forgot" I had them and bought a "snack pack box" that had 60 candy bars..... Hershey's, cookies and cream and Mr Goodbars...... this is what I gave out to the 17 kids I had....... and I never opened the bags of candy..... LOL

One of the dogs, not mentioning any names, Peanut, has diarrehea this morning...... there was a mess on the kitchen floor....... so when I got up I had that mess to clean up first..... they got rice for breakfast again .........

Well; last eve was the rescheduled trick or treat! I had mentioned the evening before I thought after 51 yrs. of us doing it; maybe it was time to stop. He didn't like that one bit!

But, till last evening was done; he was agreeing with me. We are, and have been for years, the only ones on our block to give. So, naturally the kids aren't interested! Add to that we have no small children or grandchildren in the school system! In two hours we had the grand total of 22 beggers!!! He had gotten three big bags of assorted fun-size candy bars. I won't be eating any, so guess who will. Consider type 2 diabeties! Oh well!

I think I had mentioned us getting our flu shots Tuesday. Every 3-4 years I get a reaction! Well, you guessed it. This was the year! The site is all red; itches; blah feeling, etc.,etc.,etc.. One good point; it only lasts a few days!

This morning is the Church Men's Breakfast. Once a month. He goes over around 6:30 to start cooking. We live 2 blocks away from the Church! After the meal; they clean up; there is always left over food; which they devide up and take home. So, there will probably be two take-out containers in our frig.. Your typical breakfast foods.

One thing for sure; meals are light around here for the rest of the day.

I am getting my hair cut today. I sure didn't feel up to it yesterday; so I checked to be sure my hairdresser worked today. She goes in at 11 a.m.. I need to get the sweeper run today, haven't done so this week. Will get hubby to shake rugs.

It's time for Lexie's breakfast; so, I better get with it! Then, I'll eat my banana. Yesterday I had no appetite! I had my banana; then for din-din a Lean Cruisine!

Have a good one!

Nellie---how hard that is! I remember oh so well! In later years I held every one while the meds. were being injected. It had gotten to the point [like you] it was so obvious. And, it was a release for them to leave their pain here on Earth and entering the Rainbow Bridge. We will one day be reunited with them. And, at that time, most of us will be bombarded with hugs and sloppy kisses!

But, it was quite different with Eddie. We knew he was dying for several weeks. We could watch. He had good days and bad days. We thought he had 2-5 months left. But, I thank my lucky stars he and I both knew THAT was the day. After abundant kissies he left us; cradled in my arms. He was at peace; just like Patience, Nellie and, every one elses 'babes'.

Remember the good times!

awwwwwwww Nellie I admire your strength........ I'm sure Patience is now able to do the things she only wished she could here...... still I know how heart breaking it is and how difficult it is to make that decision....... I've done it twice...... my sweet peewee and Muffin...... and I didn't have the strength to be with them..... while my beautiful babies died I sat sobbing in the exam room waiting for them to bring them to me........they said it would be more stressful for them if I was over wrought and I let them take them back...... I hope they forgive me.....

When Winston died my friend had to talk me into letting him go ....... I wouldn't let them take him....... and I kept Indy here with me for a couple hours before I took him to the Vet's office..... holding him and talking to him......

losing our babies is so hard......

I am so sorry to hear about your loss Nellie. I know you will always have a special place in your heart for Patience.

I am finally home guys.. I bet you thought I had forgotten you all...but that was not the case...I just was busy playing with grandson....he is very demanding and strong as an ox. I did not want to use my computer around him for fear he would tear it up.
My yorkies are so so so glad to be home. We traveled way too much this time...they are pooped but enjoying chewing their bones on the sofa with me...in a nice quiet environment.
I too am glad to be home. I have not had any alone time in such a long while that I was really missing it. Guess I have become somewhat of a hermit as I enjoy being by myself.

We had a great halloween...grandson was Bam Bam from the Flintstones...he was so so cute. We went to a great neighborhood with really friendly people and got to trick or treat. I had the yorkies all dressed up and everyone had a fit over them being so adorable. They walked with us as they trick or treated. They did really well with all the children. So that is one reason they are so tired today...ha ha! poor babies.

I am so so glad I cleaned my house before I left here. I have tons of laundry to do tho...and other things that need my attention. I am so far behind on any computer stuff as I did not get online much at all while I was gone. I think I posted a photo of the yorkies from my phone and that was about it.

Hope you all had a nice Halloween....

it is rainy here today so we are not getting to walk...but hopefully tomorrow.

Hugs,
Sarah

I had posted it in my status update. When I got to this thread, Suz already knew. It was a case of her never being very well since I got her and with a horrible eye infection and her screaming when I attempted to put the medication in her eye, it was very draining for both of us. When I got her to the vet yesterday, the vet and I were discussing things. The vet said that what she does is ask the owners to list ten things the dog really enjoyed. If at least half of those are no longer enjoyable it may be time to let the dog go over the rainbow bridge. I thought and realized that with Patience, there had never been 10 things she had enjoyed, and of those that she had enjoyed, only two were still somewhat enjoyable and even then there was a desperate quality about it.

When the vet was injecting her while I held her (she was already tranquilized), the vet was surprised that she died before the end of the injection. Her comment was that she was very ready to go.

YEP Janet still on here! We've had drizzling rain off and on all day..... it's wet out there! 1st 45 mins and I've had 8 kids....... one was Blaire and she wouldn't wear her costume again! good grief!

Abby and Becca here today from 7:45 until 3:30......... what another fun day!! They had lucky charms for breakfast...... Becca did her school work and I had abby tear apart the flowers the boys tore off the wreath on the doggie gate.... I'm going to put them on a skirt for Emily...... Then I went to make the gooey apple bread..... and I didn't have enough brown sugar so we had to go to the store...... came back and I had gotten the wrong frozen dough dinner rolls so we had to go back to the store again! Finally home and making the apple bread........ Abby was watching cartoons........ the bread had to raise..... so I put the electric oil radiator heater on in the kitchen and sit the bread on top of it...... and got Katie's in to bake...

Here's my issues...... Katie lied to me....... yesterday I made them a stuffed meatloaf so she wouldn't have to cook but she got back sooner than I expected and I didn't get to make the instant mashed potatoes but I gave them to her..... you put milk in a pan.... heat it and put the potatoes in..... mix it and they're done!!!!! I knew she'd probably be tired and it would be nice if she had a hot meal for everyone....... she told me last night when I asked how they liked the meatloaf....... that HER MOTHER surprised them and brought pizza....... she said she rarely does that but she did last night so they didn't have the meatloaf....... TODAY when I said to Becca about her grandmother coming with pizza last night and asked how long she stayed? Becca had this strange look? then she said grandma didn't bring pizza Daddy went and got pizza for dinner......Mommy said she was too tired to cook..... WHAT???????? after I made them the stuffed meatloaf???? she didn't have it for dinner!!!!! and cook??? heat some milk to make the mashed potatoes?????? seriously????? so anyway I'm upset she lied about it!!!! I hate people that just outright lie to you..........

I do all sorts of things to help her and their family and then she lies to me.........

I made the girls hotdogs in my "barking" dog hot dog cooker today and they LOVED that..... as we were eating lunch and Abby was eating her hot dog she said why do I have to go to Nana's tomorrow after school and I can't come to your house????? I laughed and said I don't know sweetie........

We made Halloween cards for their Mom and Dad from each of them........ they enjoy every minute they spend here.......

OH at the grocery store they were giggling....... the cashier handed Abby the change and said I'll just give this to you since you're closer to me than your Mommy....... and they just started giggling....... I said thank you and we walked off.... Becca said she called you our Mommy.... I said it's ok..... we don't need to tell her I'm not....... but I smiled the rest of the day! They really are just the most adorable girls.......... I love them to pieces! I just wish their actual mother hadn't LIED to me!!!!!!

ok first hour and I've had 10 kids! woo hoo!

Suz
