It was very hard to be good this weekend. I went back to my home town and socializing meant going to four parties and Friday happy hour margaritas with friends. Even though I fell off a bit in terms of my weekday routine, I feel good about it. I did an extra work out and tried to budget my calorie intake before the margaritas. At the restaurant, I pretended the chips and salsa didn't exist and skipped my normal fried fish dish for some grilled salmon tacos with whole black beans and no rice - it was quite good!

I also skipped the chips and cupcakes at the parties and stuck to water, salad, and the veggie tray. I didn't track my calories, and I'm sure I went over my range for a couple of days, but I'm right back in my normal routine now. In the past I would give up if I missed a day or two, so I'm really glad that I kept the damage to a minimum and am back at it.

I use challenges with a friend, and I try to make sure to get on during the day on the weekends to track. It helps, but weekends are still less structured, and thus, problematic.

Hubby and I have gotten in a good habit of breakfast every morning (tho sometimes its late!) so that's a good way to start things off!

How's it going? Do you have a harder time reaching your goals over the weekend than during the week? Do you have any tricks that you use to help you get through the weekend?
