The fast break challenges made a HUGE impact on me. I just picked three little things that I thought I could accomplish each day, and it turns out that I could! These sparkpeople creators are smart; they know that success breeds success.
The challenge that was the most difficult was eating a piece of fresh produce daily. Now, I love vegetables, so I pushed myself to eat a piece of icky fruit every day. It was painful. Once I asked Dan Caldwell to help me finish an apple, and he said, "No, you need to practice eating it." Now, this was just a line he used on his kids when they were little, but it turned my attitude around. Amazingly, I now look forward to my fruit of the day. My new favorite breakfast is oatmeal with brown sugar and a half of a banana (formerly my least favorite fruit).
