MJ, I had to laugh....I read this message when you posted it, and I thought, "What a great idea! I'm going to do that!" And then something shiny happened and I got distracted and totally forgot.
Honestly, that is a challenge I think all of us face...life goes by so fast and there are so many things we have to squeeze into each day that it is sometimes difficult to stop and do the things we want to do. I finally decided today that I'm going to take up your challenge. Even if I'm not 100% consistent with this, any encouragement I can share with others is better than none at all. So, as my crazy work/school schedule permits, I'll be around on the boards more often. Thanks for the excellent reminder!
Just a simple reminder to us all. When you reach out and give those "atta girl", "atta boy", "way to go", "you are doing great", "don't worry, you will get there", "I'm here for you", and "Congrats!" comments and other words of encouragement, advice, support, and empathy - you are motivating YOURSELF as well.
Think back on the success you have had. Think on the times when you have stumbled, fallen, maybe didn't think you could get back up. Wasn't there someone there telling you how great you were doing when you posted a woo hoo moment? Did someone reach out to you and encourage you to keep pushing forward when you had a set back? Pay it forward, folks. Don't sit around waiting for the accolades and the back patting - Give some away and you'll get back so much more!
I challenge you, if you haven't been encouraging others, to post one encouraging message per day for the next week on someone's blog, page, or on a thread. If you are super-motivated - post 3 per day. Do this for one week. If it doesn't make you feel good, feel more motivated, feel more empowered in your own journey I will be very surprised. Remember, the more you put into your journey the more you will get out of it. What are you waiting for? Someone needs you and you NEED to do this!
Never give up - Never give in
