So proud of myself! emoticon

This morning I had to go mail a package - I was feeling kind of draggy - I have noticed I feel like this when I am wearing layered clothing - I kept saying stop and get a starbucks cinnamon latte or stop and get a big red soda - but as I drove by those places - I kept saying - "No, Kathy - coffee only on weekends and trying to stay away from soda - period" So, I drove home without stopping - I put on my workout clothes and noticed right away I started feeling a bit peppier - I drank a protein vanilla drink made with almond milk, smelled my Gardenia fragrance oil, put on Leslie's 4 fast miles and I was sweating and feeling great!

I am now going to eat something with tuna and then working out from two different books, one is Tracy Anderson's 30 day method and the other is The Women's Health big book of 15-minute exercises.

The weather is supposed to keep getting warmer this week - I can't wait - I told Jim last week - I got to power walk outside one day - so I am officially calling this "The teaser time of the year" The weather hooked me and got me out in it - made me want more and then stuck it's tongue out and said, "neener, neener, neener" Or something like that - but I digress.

Now, to make a healthy lunch - lots of veggies and protein I had a Whey protein drink this morning and a Spinach smoothie during workout. Now, I will drink my cucumber/mint/lemon drink while I bring my body temp back and then start preparing a healthy lunch.

Now I'm having chicken soup and getting ready to do my next workout. This is a super super cold day even though the sun is shining bright and looks beautiful from my window. I keep telling myself Spring is supposed to be here in a matter of weeks - I hope

I spent an hour grocery shopping this morning and I just finished gathering firewood and hauling it in a big plastic tarp up a very steep hill. Jim came home while I was pulling it up over my shoulders and pulling with my knees and waist. So, I did it properly. He saw me - took over, carrying it in and said, "you are done - we're good for the day" He then made a pot roast. So, here I sit on couch with laptop looking for coupon deals online and smelling a yummy roast.

I just found a cool app called Checkout51 and you look at the deals offered that week - if you buy any of them, take a pic of your receipt and upload with the app - you get money back - after $20 they send you a check or put it in paypal. They give you $2 for joining and if you spend over $60 you are entered in a $500 grocery credit contest. So, I did all this in 3 minutes and have $5 in my acct already.

I do things like this and save for Christmas. I also look for coupon deals with my groceries and if Walgreens has something worthwhile in the shampoo, soap, facial area - I like those as well.

I'm jealous of some of those warm temps It's so cold here - I went out to feed the birds this morning - the cardinals sit all over the trees looking like red ornaments patiently waiting on me - the snow birds and doves are adorable - the doves are fat and chunky. They all share which is nice. I watch them out my kitchen window while drinking my coffee and doing the dishes.

I just finished 40 minutes of high impact step aerobics with Gin Millers Step Reebok, which I love and it's my go to The video is 55 minutes but the last past is on the floor exercises with the bench like push ups and sit ups - I don't do this part because I did all that yesterday during my weight training day. The sit ups I will do while watching tv tonight. Now that I've made my spinach smoothie and drank a bit of it and snacked on a fresh coconut (which btw is sooo refreshing to drink), I'm getting ready to try a new Zumba video from Youtube. I do Tracy Anderson's workout for the glutes in the evening when watching tv.

I'm anxious for spring - I cannot wait to go walking and hiking outdoors again. We head to Florida in 2 weeks - anxious for that as well - we'll be there for 3 days and we spend the whole time walking the beach and eating Calamari at Crabby Bill's - WooHoo!

I've been walking at least 4 miles every day to a Leslie dvd
I did Zumba today for the first time, ever! I found a beginner video on youtube - I shared it on my blog and I had a blast!!! It was only 16 minutes and I was sweating but laughing the whole time. Now, I'm lifting weights Having a great day!!

emoticon I can now say my goal is to do my Winsor Pilates dvd's as if I'm training to be in the video - (laughing) Wow! I just did the Ab Sculpting and WOW! I'm sore - I stretched in so many ways - I was shaking during some of those moves - I do like the way she kept saying, "squeeze your buttocks - they will help you during this move" And she is right!
