Thanks I am feeling better and she nursed evey 4 hrs during the night so I was happy. I jumped on the scale and I am back up in lbs so that is a good sign. Thanks for your prayers.

Babies are flexible. :) They're used to growth spurts, teething, not feeling well themselves, and other things that affect their eating. Just remind yourself that it's not going to hurt her to eat more small meals more often for a little while... like for us, that might not be what we want to do, but it won't hurt her. Just try to get YOUR stress level down so you can get feeling better again! I'll be praying for you to get feeling better!

emoticon I am trying to drink lots and get some food in. Still a little hard on the stomach at this point. She has been nursing a lot every1 1/2 hrs that is why I think she isn't getting enough milk. thanks for the reply.

In my experience, it generally doesn't take too long for the milk supply to pick back up once you're eating and staying hydrated again. The hydration will help the most (at least it did for me).

My baby never really suffered from my supply being low (even though it made ME nervous). She just wanted to eat a little more frequently b/c she wasn't getting as full each time she ate. But she had enough to be fine until I was feeling better.

Hope you get feeling better soon!

This past weekend I got food poisoning and could not keep anything down. I am getting better but still have some symptoms here and there. My question is how long will it take for my milk supply to go back up. I have only started to eat with in the last 8 hrs. Before that I was taking Clear fluids and Jello. So if any of you experienced mom's out there have advice please post.. I just feel like there is no milk in my breasts... a bit worried.
