I just started studying Krav I. Saint Louis. I am really hoping it will get me in shape and toned a little, but as well as help me in case bad things happen. As I am new, I am hoping to go to 3 classes a week.
Hi! And welcome! I had a friend who worked the night shift. Hard stuff! From my friend I've heard that - even though he has been with the company 10 years - he's still not "senior" enough to get a morning shift.
So how do you like the Kinect? It would figure as soon as I get a Wii (strictly for exercise) everyone goes to Kinect, lol! I think you don't have any controllers? Not sure.
As for portion control, I understand. It is a big thing for a lot of people - even for me sometimes, and I've been a long time fitness instructor and personal trainer. It has been the one thing that has kept me from fully reaching my goals. While I'm in shape, I wanted to be more muscular but with not eating clean it is next to impossible. BUT! I prefer enjoying life :-) I don't drink, don't smoke. Might as well have a cupcake once in a while. Its all about moderation
Hola, I've been a big fan of martial arts since The Karate Kid first came out. I took TKD for a few years until I got into it with a group of 6 guys in Michigan. I hit 2 of them with my "flashy" kicks, but that didn't amount to much when I ended up on the ground. After I left TKD, I went with BJJ for a few years until I got married and started working 3rd shift. Now I stay in shape by riding my bike and workouts on my Xbox Kinect. My biggest setback to my weight loss is my portion control or the foods I eat. While working the midnight shift, I find myself consuming a soda beverage now and then to stay awake. I do not currently practice a martial art, but I watch MMA all the time and I hope to when I get a morning shift one day. :)
