Hey there! I'm an RT(R). I graduated in '06. Right now I'm back in school working towards getting into a Radiation Therapy program. I work in a multi specialty physicians office that also has an urgent care center. It's very busy and since I'm the only tech on during the day I come home exausted. I like it a lot, but still want to be a Radiation Therapist.

I live in Ohio, work in Cleveland!! I used to wear a pedometer at work, but I felt like it never counted right...so I gave up on it.
Never thought this day would come...WOW! Dreams do come true.

Ya I work with kids too, just not exclusively. We have a large neonatal, boy I hate seeing the babies so premature, just tiny! I'm working a double shift today, between my full time & per diem job. Although, you can see I'm not that busy now since I'm online. With 5 more hours to go so far I have walked 2.7 miles! Where are you located at?

Hi Mona-
I love working w/the children (it might be mean to say, but...)I just feel that they have sooo much more to look forward to! I was in the OR last wk (boy I love it up there) and I got to see some neat cases!!! Look out for those free snack days! we have those too after meeting etc...and it's SO tempting, keep strong.
Never thought this day would come...WOW! Dreams do come true.

Hi Nicole- you have a tough job working with children. I know what you mean about seeing all the interesting cases. Had a bad trauma today, broken pelvis, & bilateral femurs. So I made a 3D of the pelvis in CT. Found out today, our hospital is having an appreciation week, so we are having bagels, ice cream & popcorn. Hope I can stay away.

Hi all I'm a RT(R)(CT) in the field for 12yrs, love it. Work at a level 1 trauma center in California. I've only been on Sparks for a couple of weeks & think it is very motivational.

Hi! I'm an RT(R)CT. I have been a tech for 15 years. I have been working at a great office of Chiropractors for the last couple of months doing x-rays and other jobs. I really miss doing CT, but love being out of the hospital setting. Nice to meet fellow techs.

I think that's the reasoning behind all the message boards and sparkteams...i've noticed while browsing is that everyone talks to everyone about stats and habits.

RT (R)(MR) here. 11 years in the field and I do love my job. I just signed up today and I am still browsing everything. Seems to me like this whole program would work better doing the "buddy" system and having someone to be accountable to. (?) Just my thinking :).
