We have an "Annual Nurse's Tea" put on by our facility. Some of our resident's are retired nurse's and they enjoy coming as well as some of our retired employee's. Those of us who aren't working attend. We bring treats to the floor to those who are working. We have scrapbooks from long ago about our facility, (started in the 1920's) and we reminisce over how the Health profession has changed. An inexpensive way to bond and pat each other on the back.
Probably the same as Eskiegirl. Our LTC facility has decided to do all recognitions during LTC week..we get a banner. One year we each got a lottery ticket. Probably this year even less..We have had a few nurses leave ;also more 2 CNA & 2LPN to get their RN and are heading to hospitals for experience. So probably we will all be asked to do extra shifts. We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face ... we must do that which we think we cannot. Roosevelt, Eleanor
