Yes. I get the flu shot for several reasons:

1) I'm more likely to be exposed to it.
2) I can't afford to be out for two weeks down with the flu.
3) It's free.
4) It's convenient to get (one of my co-workers can usually give it to me during a lull in a shift).
5) It's now required at most hospitals I travel to OR you have to wear a mask during flu-season (no thank you!).

If you think you're too young to get it, you're wrong. My good friend had the flu two years ago and she was sick for two weeks. I've seen 30-something's die in the ICU from it. It's nasty stuff and if there's a vaccination to prevent it, why not?

No and the reason is when I have gotten it, I have had a winter of every things that comes around. When I stopped getting it, I haven't gotten ill. I don't remember when I even had a cold. It has to be 6-8 yrs. I personally think it probably weakens my immune system.
