There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
Hi, I'm Julie. I am a Clinical Social Worker. I work as a mental health therapist mostly with adolescents, but also adults and children. I am not new to Sparkpeople. I joined on 12/31/06 and have been mostly absent for the past 3 years. I came back Sept 1st to get back to my program and lose the almost 35lbs I gained! I have recommended SP to so many people. I've had articles published on exercise being beneficial to mental health and recommended the Sparkpeople website as a great tool to help. I learned so much about a healthy lifestyle from the information from this site. I try to spread the spark whenever I can!
