Years of helping others makes it hard to help myself - I know all the tricks for others, so find it difficult to get myself in order! However, I'm close to retirement, and hoping to leave work looking much better than before. At the moment, I've managed to lose 27 pounds, and have about 35 more to do. I'm glad my daughter suggested this site - I've been on about a week trying out different ideas, setting some goals, getting some optimism flowing! Of course, I managed to ruin my nutrition/fitness plans for 3 days in a row - basic sabotage - now I'm sure it's over!! As for my occupation, I am a nurse, but have been working in counselling (another degree) for many years, and with families with special needs kids. I have never been on a forum, so am struggling to figure out how this works, and why I would do this!
