Hi Bunn43 and welcome. around here a 3 day blowout is not a sabotage or a disaster... its just a setback. a pause. a chance to start again. There are always more chances and more ways to try. and yes, as nurses we do "know it all" but to know and "to do" are different things. But even tough things can become habits if we do them often enough. hang in there!
Hi everyone, Years of helping others makes it hard to help myself - I know all the tricks for others, so find it difficult to get myself in order! However, I'm close to retirement, and hoping to leave work looking much better than before. At the moment, I've managed to lose 27 pounds, and have about 35 more to do. I'm glad my daughter suggested this site - I've been on about a week trying out different ideas, setting some goals, getting some optimism flowing! Of course, I managed to ruin my nutrition/fitness plans for 3 days in a row - basic sabotage - now I'm sure it's over!! As for my occupation, I am a nurse, but have been working in counselling (another degree) for many years, and with families with special needs kids. I have never been on a forum, so am struggling to figure out how this works, and why I would do this! - Bunn43
