this was from my middle son..........I DJ'd at Gabel's the night before, had breakfast at Kosta's, and went home. It was just like any other Monday night/Tuesday morning for me. I fell asleep at about 7, until my dad called and told me to wake up and put on the TV. I ended up going to Big Shotz at about noon, opened the bar and put on all of the TVs. Random people kept on coming in throughout the day, every one of them dazed and bewildered. We all just sat there in silence, glued to the TV. It was just weird.
I took the NYPD test Oct 26, 2002, was sworn in July 1, 2003.
I saw it from the sidelines, 400 miles away. I now work with men and women that were there, and I'll never ask them about it. I don't want to know that feeling in my lifetime, yet I'm fully aware that I may have to.
