i keep contacting the employee health person at the hospital but have not yet heard back from her...
so far they have not returned my calls...
thank you all for your input and great ideas...
I would get it from my doctor when I got back from vacation. That way insurance may cover the cost.
Have a TERRIFIC day!

What about getting it when you get back? They used to say not to get it until the end of October anyways...

good luck and all the best on your vacation...........do you have room for one more in your suitcase???
“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
(i really don't want the vaccine, but have to get it, i wish i could get it for no cost- but i may have to go and pay for it...)
Find some other place to get the vaccine where you can get it on your schedule. The Walgreens here is doing them for $25 every day :)

Who else gives shots up there? I got my flu shot two weeks ago at CVS / MinuteClinic. The pharms at the grocery stores started doing them last week and the county health started today.
If you get it this week or next that would give you two weeks before you leave for your trip to recover.
In NYS the Department of Health has mandated that all health care wmployees receive the seasonal flu vaccination. My hospital has scheduled only one day that they will be providing this vaccine (other years they have not mandated vaccine and have provided several days to receive the vaccination)
I am going on vacation 2 days after the date offered and frequently have mild symptoms after recieving shot-
What would you do???
NYS mandate says that vaccination must be complete by november 30th.. the date offered is oct 15 and my hawaii trip leaves oct 17!
help, give me some feedback please!
