sounds great...............but still too far away for me as well as time issue too.........thanks for the reminder.............
There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world
Most of you have seen the links and web pages by now about the upcoming SparkConvention in Cincinatti on Sept. 26th.
I want to urge any and ALL of you to strongly, deeply, SERIOUSLY consider attending if there is ANY way that you can!
I traveled across the continent to be at the San Diego convention earlier this year in May and this was the start of something new for myself. Despite having a sister and her family living in San Diego for DECADES, I had never taken the time to visit. With the SPARK being there it was the perfect reason to finally break out of my shell and GO!
What an AMAZING time it was...! To connect with Chris (SparkGuy) Downie and all the other SparkPeople staff and fellow members....was just wonderful! Everyone was so genuine and sincere! From the morning walk to the closing moments the convention was non-stop INSPIRATION and MOTIVATION! The experiences shared by other members were so AFFIRMING and EMPOWERING!
If you are teetering and on the fence regarding whether or not to go, just DO IT! Every member OWES it to oneself to make the effort, take the time to BE THERE and be a part of some unlike anything you have EVER DONE! Woo hoo! :-)
