Thanks everyone!
I've made an appointment with a physiatrist. But he can't see me for a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I am able to do my elliptical without pain and I can do limited stuff on my treadmill. So I'll just do those for the aerobic portion of my workout for now.

I agree, a sports specialist is key. I am a LMP but have my specialty certification in Sports it is essential that you see someone who is comfortable working with sports because too often they say "you'll never do x again" but if you really want to do x often times you will do it anyway so you need someone who works on the athletic mentality. Good Luck.

Kami,
It sounds like you've tried the usual modalities, therefore your best bet is to see a physiatrist (physical medicine and sports rehab specialist). He or she will be able to structure a more optimal approach to help you mend faster and get back on your running routine again. Otherwise, you'll likely find yourself back in the same cycle you're in now. Good luck!

Hi Health Pros,

While exercising, I've recently strained my right tensor fasciae latae. I keep feeling like I'm over the injury until I am in the middle of running a couple of miles. Then it becomes painful again. Are there any PT's Orthopods, or others that can give me
some rehab advice? I'm anxious to be able to enjoy jogging with my dog again without causing more inflammation and pain.
