I agree that Don has given good advice.

I have been there before joining SP and I had to stop everything as I thought I would die when I tried to exercised just couldn't do it. I felt guilty also. But when you start feeling better just start slow again.
Good luck & God bless Will be praying for you.

when you are sick you need to let your body heal.
sometimes i do some yoga- it seems to be doable and it also helps me to channel some of my own positive and healing energies!
hope you feel better very soon!

Sleep away the guilt :) There's nothing wrong with rest when you are not feeling well! If you really feel up to it, take a walk, but don't over do it. Feel better

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Who you gonna call?

SPARKPEOPLE!

:-)

It's great you posted! I'm sure you'll find many suggestions here!

1) Pay attention to your body and give yourself a break till you feel better.

2) I'm a big believer in flushing out bugs with EXTRA water, more than ever!

3) As you feel able, try some of the SparkPeople exercises, just a bit...see how your body reacts...does it drag you down further? Back off...! Do you feel better? Terrific! Enjoy! But in moderation with only a gradual picking up of the pace as tolerated.

Can't wait for you to lick this bug and put it behind you!

I have been fighting this flu thing for several days now, following a very busy week with my child's birthday parties and having company from out of town. I tried going to the gym with my sister tonight, but the heavier I was breathing, the more my throat felt like it was going to start bleeding. My body aches have decreased today, and I am feeling better in some ways, but worse in others. I know that I shouldn't be worried about not exercising enough right now, and that I should focus on getting better before heading to the gym, but I feel guilty not exercising. Any ideas of some exercises that would help ease my guilt without making me over do it?
