There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results. When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. The scale only measures pounds; it cannot distinguish between muscle weight and fat weight. Someone who is of "ideal" body weight may be very out of shape and someone who is in great shape may be 10-20 or even 30 lbs "overweight," since fat weighs much less than muscle.
Fat is made of a lightweight spongy material and thus takes up a lot of space for its weight. Muscle, on the other hand, is made of dense material and thus takes up very little space for its weight.
Those who are muscular can weigh more than "overweight" people and yet wear smaller sizes in clothing and be in much better physical shape.
