There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Hi, I just found this site and it looks like lots of good information and support. I am a family nurse practitioner in the midwest and put on a lot of weight while going to grad school and trying to work 2 jobs. That was all 7 years ago now and the weight is still there. I started a weight loss program last Jan 1 and lost 60 lbs, but still have 30 more to go. The holidays have been tough and things have gotten off track. I hope to find new motivation here. Thanks
