Bev Anne - I am not sure what is going on with this team.

I have had some health issues and I have not been following this program but I hope to get back on it very soon. If there is anything I can do please do not hesitate. I am on vacation for the next two weeks. I have a smart phone so I can see my Spark stuff, I just have trouble typing on the small key board!!!!! lol

No foods with high fructose corn syrup, sugar, rice syrup, corn syrup, fructose, sucrose etc. in the first three ingredients.

No foods that have more than 3 ingredients that I can not pronounce.

If an item has more than 10 ingredients it is too processed, I will not eat or buy the item.

Is there anyone out there who is actually on this team and following Dr. Hyman's plan?

I know what you mean, Anne. I'm type 2 and recently had my meds reduced from Janumet (a Januvia and metformin combo) twice daily down to just metformin twice daily. I really was proud of my accomplishment, getting my HB A1C down over 1-1/2 points, but as soon as my meds changed, I started fluctuating again. Especially frustrating for me was that apparently my sugar goes UP at night while I'm asleep, instead of down like normal diabetic folk!

I asked my endocrinologist, and she said that was normal, and not to worry, that it should straighten itself out in a couple of months. So, I'm taking steps not to worry. (grin)

Scifimom- Glad you are doing better. Tough job waving goodbye to two kids. I like the idea of more sleep!!! Let me know if you find anything that works.

I like that you are looking at stress reduction, I think we are more stressed than we even know.

I am not back on track yet, lots of food left over from the wedding and long weekend. I will be pleased when the freezer is empty and I can shop fresh!

Having read the above, what a load of excuses!!! OK. next meal will be better, the rest of the food other people can eat better on their bodies than mine!!!! LOL

I have diabetes and my last check up my numbers were lower, so the doctor changed my medication. Not sure what is going on but my numbers are horrible now. I just put in a call to the doctor. I wish she had not changed my meds. I was happy before. I know this program works because of my blood work was showing the drop so I know it is the right thing for me.

Keep in touch, wish you the best!!

Hi, you two! After the late-summer excitement of getting my two sons back into college, and my following post-stress collapse, I finally have enough energy left over to get back to the Spark.

Summer doldrums, indeed.

I've been continuing to slowly lose weight, but now I want to turn the corner and get more involved with strength training, stress reduction, and MORE SLEEP. How about you?

Junecoon, Thank you, I agree that is a great saying.

A very large serving of positive attitude all round!!!!

My son's wedding was lovely and I did as I pleased on the food, danced a lot and drank water all night!

This week I am trying to be more aware of intake etc. and next week back on track!

I have to be honest, not done a thing. I fell off and I know that this is the right thing for me but it is so tough.

My husband just came home last night and said he and I are going to Florida in January. I already have a plan because I want to be happy and fit for the trip! I am back on the healthy life style, with one off day, the day my son marries. That day I will do as I please, what ever that is!

I know summer is drawing to a close and school is starting. Do we need to get started again? I know the heat here in Phoenix has made it difficult for me to get motivated. I just don't want to work out in 110+ heat. Just getting in and out of the car is too much.

How about you?
